A lot, it looks like a curse. AA and KK seems to be ripped.

I have lost more times with the AA than I have won.
I hate to break it to you but if this is a true and factual statement then please set up a class to teach how to play them that badly. I suspect it seems that way because the human mind it geared to remember bad results and forget the good ones.

In another thread awhile back someone observed that it is not the fact that AA, and other big pairs, lose so often, it is because our expectations soar when we see them and then they are crushed if they lose, making them more memorable.

It happens a lot at micro stakes where a bunch of people come in hand when AA on me

the reason it happens a lot in microstakes is because more people play more garbage hands out of ignorance and bad play. The more people seeing the flop the more cards that can make two pair or trips or a straight. Years ago when I started to play I saw a graph that showed that AA against one opponent is 84% to win and that percentage is reduced by 11% for each addition player . I don't know where the numbers come from but I mucked one time when five people limped to me on the button, I raised an appropriate amount and then the SB shoved and was followed by the BB and 4 limpers, who had QQ, JJ, and other SH, IT hands. It was smart of me since some dipcrap flopped a 9 high straight with his favorite hand , 69.
I learned a lesson to follow my instincts when something smells stinky, although I fail to that at times.

Do you often lose with AA?
Hi CaptainZzz

Does folding count as losing? I lose a fair share of the time. I don't push All-in as much as I used to, but if the board comes don't monotone in a suit I don't have or a mid-pack, three cards straight, I know where the hand is likely heading. So an "easier" lay-down.

Yes, I often lose with aces, but AK is even worse for me. 30 seats away from the ticket :(

losing with AA is one of the things that happens to me the most and leaves me very tilted and the whole game goes downhill afterwards.

I don't keep track of my losses, I can definitely download that with pocket aces I win more than I lose.

in large cases, I win about 4 times out of five and, accordingly, I lose in one of the five hands

With a hand AA, the probability of winning is about 80% preflop when playing all in, but somehow it feels like I lose more often)) maybe I think so)

Seldom, when I play heads up. But often when I play against 3 or more opponents.
