For me personally MTTs have been more profitable. But they surely take a lot of one’s time. Cash games are better for quick gains but also losses.

I prefer MTTs because I think for casual players MTTs make more sense. Never know when I will get lucky with 7,2 off ;)

I found the cash games to be a grind and very exhausting

I've found cash is more profitable and generally faster gameplay. Whereas tournaments tend to be more methodical and strategic but as they are slower with more players it's harder to reach the money and requires more grinding. I love both styles of play though!

I prefer to play a tight range in MTT's as I generally get itm without much stress. Cash games require more focus, from me at least. Cash games have been more profitable in my case but more because of jackpots and ggcare as an example. I mean, I'm really thankful for those extra perks that came out of cash play for way less effort. I'm not an expert or a professional though but strive to become. Since I restarted playing though I've gone through a lot of personal pain, stress, anxiety, depression due to the bloody covid and all it's extra horrible perks so the progress has been really slow. But patience and resilience made me a winner after all. Think it's just best to take advantage of every perk, bonus and opportunity to grow the bankroll. After all, you play decent, you get all the extras. If you gamble like a headless chicken, you end up paying the house and me, be it tournament or cash.

Everything depends on the skills of each person, personally I prefer MTTs, they are my forte, but with the problems that we are experiencing in my country at the moment with the electrical issue, it is changing me to adapt and play more cash

All in all, both games have their own advantages and disadvantages and it's all a matter of preference in the end. I like to play a mix of both. Cash games might be more "authentic" poker in a way, but tournaments have that special buzz that cash games simply don't provide.

I think it depends on what you like to play, there are tournaments that you have taken care of for your life, with the live game sessions for good live game sessions you have to have good money on the table, otherwise it will be difficult

The thing about cash games is, you can observe Or get a feel for the game and decide if it’s worth playing or not. If you’re not feeling the table you’re playing at you can just get up and leave

The tournament is important in my opinion for gaining experience in the game. It teaches you to control your coffers, self-control and calm. The bad thing is that it requires a lot of free time 4-5 hours in most cases. You can't interrupt it and it keeps you busy for a long time. In cash games, the advantage is that you can choose the right table with the right bets at any time. Here you can quickly accumulate profits, but also disappear for a second. Experience is very important for games. There are no sure winning cards. I personally play tournaments and with the money I earn I enter cash games. Good luck to all

each format requires different skill sets, and which one makes you more money will depend on your skills

if you have massive patience, and plenty of hours to play poker each day, tournaments may be more profitable for you

if you don't have good patience and only have a few hours to play each day, cash games will likely be more profitable for you

tournaments require much investment of time and smaller investment of money

cash games require less investment of your time, but a bigger investment of your money

there is no easy route to making money in poker, just because cash games requires less time investment, that doesn't mean you can make money quicker... in my opinion, cash games are much harder to succeed than tournaments... but since we're only going to cash in 20% of our tournaments (which is a typical cash rate for a good tournament pro), we can go a LONG time in between making money when we play tournaments, so you have to be prepared for that.

It really boils down to personal preference and what your specific skills are. Best wishes whichever poker method you choose! I think it is best to play both methods, cash and tournaments, because each skill set can help the other out. Becoming a good cash player will help your tournament game, and learning tournament skills might improve your cash game, teach you a bit of patience, etc.

Couldn't say any better than that, the only thing that it matters a lot to mee is to play where you are having fun, the kind of game you like. Afterall is not just about money

I prefer playing tournaments, but you are right to play tournaments should have a lot of time. Cash, anytime we can get in and out.

I think the most important thing is money management. Good luck all!

I tend play more cash as I prefer to come or leave whenever I want. I find that for tournaments I have to adapt more disapline nitty style that I don’t like. In cash I tend to loosen my game and there more post flop stragety.
Often in tournaments the strategy is based on my stack size. So the decision may be preflop or flop decisions if I’m short stacked.
In cash I can purchase for deeper stacks and makes bets on every street.
There is not luxury of adding to the stack in tournaments. The stragety is to double up if I’m short stacked.

I always play MTT tournaments. I think that cash games are not poker, but madness.

MTT allows you to earn even with folds in the later stages. In addition, the buy-in is made a maximum of several times, with the possibility of taking 30 times more. My choice is MTT.

You can be profitable in both types of games, but you will need different strategies in each one you choose. I prefer MTT, since I dont know much about cash games.

What gives you more money plus by playing in CASH or playing in Tournaments?

I play in tournaments, but I began to notice that I am very exhausted on them and do not spend much money on them . Here I think maybe I should go to the cache ? Share your vision ?:deal:
Tournaments give hope for a big win, and cash games give a stable income with the right approach to the process. Also, cash games give you more freedom than tournament poker, and you get tired of them less.

To begin with, both of these poker formats can be quite easily combined in proportions that are convenient for you. In cash games, unlike Mtt, you can maintain a constant stack size, of course, if funds allow you. Also, at any time you can leave the table without losing money. Of course, in cash games you cannot count on an instant take-off and a profit that significantly exceeds your investment, however, at a distance, cash games can be much more profitable than tournaments. Plus, you don't have to break the game because of the growth of the blinds, because it simply does not exist.

tournaments and sngs in the micros , especially some tourneys have helped me a lot to withdraw some money . And ofcourse Cc freerolls help a lot . I use cash games to generate rake , earn some rewards through challenges , but money , nope , cannot play for higher limits , I am still in the micros . The times I have played my AK against AAs is innumerable , I once had AA vs AKs , he won , lol

someone likes the cash, someone likes the tournament, it depends more on the character of the person here, to sit for hours in the tournament or to ride the cash, I play very little in tournaments, it's difficult for me to sit and wait for a strong hand for 30 minutes

One big win in a poker tournament could be months of winnings playing cash. But those wins are few and far between. I think Cash is steadier. Though it also is higher risk.

if you want to make money fast you can play at the tables, but if you want to make the most profitable money, in the long run it is the MMTs
