CASH or MTT the two modalities are beautiful as long as they are disciplined players (important) and as recreational I tried both. My advice to start with MTT and when you reach a bankroll (playing) of 500 dollars. Indulging in there and trying CASH is another adrenaline rush, and being able to see how it goes. Always remember discipline (example of 500 use 100 for that test)

Tournaments. Especially online. With a little luck ypu can win big amounts with small investments. In a cash game it is very hard to turn 100 into 10.000$. In tournaments you can turn that into one million, with even less.

I do not play cash games, in most cases I prefer Sit & Go tournaments or MTT tournaments.

Only play cash. I do not have the many hours needed to play tournaments

When I first started playing poker, abiut 90% of my time was spent playing cash. That was because I didn't have the patience for tournaments at that point in time. The only tournaments I would play were hypers and a turbo here and there.

Ever since I've become more accustomed to playing poker and don't have the patience issue anymore, I play tournaments probably 95% of the time, maybe more. The only time I'll play cash tables now is if I've only got a maximum of 1 hour of poker playing before heading out to do something. Or if I'm trying to complete certain challenges on pokerstars.
The appeal of tournaments is that you get to work on so many different parts of your game plus for a very small buyin you can win huge prizes, so that's always an attractive possible outcome.

I definitely want to start playing more cash throughout this year though to sharpen up certain skills and simply have the cash table skills ready for when I may need them. At the moment, I'm planning on spending 1 day a month only playing cash tables but, dependant on results and how I'm feeling during those days, I may end up increasing that to numerous days per month

I prefer to play tournament than cash game. Cash game in my opinion is very monotonous, it doesn't have that adrenaline that only tournaments provide us.

I prefer tournament games. I believe that playing with cash requires a good bankroll. Then the game becomes more sensitive.

mtt's vs tourneys

I find it satisfying to play long sessions of poker to i normally play tourneys, I think to be able to grow as a play tourneys is the way to go but not low buy-ins though. my reason for sayin this is because to many untalented, donk players or persons who don't really know what they're doing take part in these and it can be frustrating to play against them, because the truth about poker is that you're going to hit your hand only around 23% of the time, the rest is really about being able to represent a hand you do not have lol:D:cool:

I would add Spin & go, it is my favorite game because in just one hour you can play for very high prizes. I always try to pick games with hyper speed

I prefer MTT and CIS tournaments, and also a grand tour. It so happened that it is more interesting to play them for me. Of course, I also tried to play cash, but this is not entirely mine, so I rarely play it.

Cash or Tournament

I prefer tournaments. They are more competitive than cash games. When you have the same conditions with all opponents initially, and it is conditionally decided who will come to the finish line first, this gives me more interest in the game. The feeling of being one of the top players in the prize area is great.

I play cash very rarely, I prefer MTT. I think most poker players who play for fun favor MTT.

I had played limit hold em cash games for many years as I did not feel comfortable with my skill level playing no limit. I have noticed limit games becoming more scarce in the poker rooms and I knew I would eventually have to 'wade' into the no limit games . . . But then the pandemic hit and I started online poker and decided to play the tournaments instead of cash games and I have enjoyed the tournaments and I am thankful I got the opportunity to try them. I am slowly learning how to play no limit with a large stack of chips -- there is a 'science' to it.

MTT, I prefer more than cash. Although I do play on cash tables only if I am up and can afford to lose some.

I play cash games once in a week or so, but big blinds there's people who team up against players so I try not to play as much, even that I like cash games. It can be profitable in a short amount of time.

MTT are my favourite, followed by sng and finally cash which I rarely play. MTT can be tough but sweet if you can make the FT for a big cash.

I like to play tournaments. There you have a goal. First to come in the money and later to get ranked very high. At cash game you want to win the most possible money but with no direct end.

It's more interesting for me to play in tournaments. It takes more time, but you gain experience and practice discipline.
