Friends, I've always wondered who are the best players, cash game players or tournament players? Who can adapt better, the player who goes from tournaments to cash game or the one who goes from cash game to tournaments? What do you think?

I think the tournament players are much more patient and leisurely play. and the games that play the cache they are in a hurry to play this game faster with a win.

In cash games, there is no growth of blinds, you control the time you want to play at this table, you can wait for the arrival of good cards. The stacks are deep, which allows you to play more tactical poker and set more traps. I think hands reaching the showdown in cash games are stronger than in the tournament game.

A large number of people play in tournaments. The blinds are constantly growing, there is less margin for error and more risk in tournaments. preflop all-ins are very common here, even without a strong hand. In tournaments, you need to act faster and always use every good opportunity to get chips.

If you compare players, I think players play more thoughtful, tactical and calculating poker. But the difference is more pronounced in professionals, average players usually play about the same in both cash games and tournaments.:)

Again, there can't be no comparison.

There is kind of two completely different games. If you follow a strategy of course.

In cash, your main objective is to accumulate money in a fast way.
You have to play with 100bb and you can go all in. If you lose, you just bring more money to the table.

In tournaments, your main objective is to get 'ITM' (In the money).
You have to pick the spots where you wanna make a move, and you have to pick them really carefully. Because if you lose, that's it. You cant continue playing.

In my personal opinion, there is an edge for those players that play cash and register to a tournament, because they know how to pick better spots that those players that play tournaments regularly and go to a cash table.

For me, cash games have always been more difficult than tournaments. That is why I prefer tournaments, thanks to which I make a profit.

To answer your question, you need to go through one of these game paths yourself.I prefer a lot of table tournaments and I don't play cash.So I think that probably everyone chooses their own path and learns all the power in it regardless of how they came to i.

Each player has their own preferences, either playing cash games or playing tournament poker. To say which is better is probably difficult.

It's so hard and straightforward to say something. Probably for this you need an experiment to conduct. It seems to me that both categories of players have equal chances.

Hello.
I think that good players are players whose bankroll is growing steadily, no matter what games they prefer. Personally, I prefer tournaments, and my bankroll is growing, so I am completely happy with my results.

Cash game is more fun to play and much more difficult

Good afternoon everyone, who are the best players, those who play cash games or Mtt? A difficult answer, there are excellent Mtt and cash game players, but in relation to which one can better adapt by changing the style of play, in my opinion the cash game players in this way do this better, proof of that is the lexveldhuis player, who played cash and is now one of the best players in the world of Mtt. I’ve heard some money players saying why playing money is better than Mtt, money players can choose their schedule better, when they start playing and see that the day isn’t good to play it can stop, while the Mtt player, when Mtt starts there is no way to stop playing unless it is eliminated or it loses the value of the record, they also say that money is a game with less variance, they are absolutely right and I have already watched some Mtt players saying that the Mtt is much more exciting imagine you in an All in one final table of a Mtt that pays 1KK, they are absolutely right. I play both Mtt and cash game and in my opinion and according to my results Mtt is much easier to profit, the cash you have is always with a very high level of concentration.

the cash game players in my opinion are playing a more disputed and more difficult game, not being able to fail a lot as in tournaments sometimes we lose some chips and recover quickly and in cash if we lose a lot of money to recover it is more difficult then we risk a lot cash players have to evolve more than tournament players to keep money in the game ...

I think tournament players are more foresighted and patient, but as always there are people who play crazy ... but at the end of the day it is all a matter of patience and a little luck

These are two different plays. I wouldn’t compare these two games. In cash game you try to get the most money in the pot. Players leaving and joining the table. In tournaments you try to stay as long as possible in the tournament but there is a long way to go. In the beginning some player (at lower buy ins) put all in so they can double up or play an other tournament. And before the price ranges people on the end of board are just try to reach the price ranges. Also if you playing games with bounty it gets its own dynamic. So there you have moments where just playing poker is difficult.

I believe, and I've read about it, that cash players find it easier to move into tournaments because it's easier for them to play the post flop... the tournament game is quite peculiar and the tactics of the tournament game are not suitable for cash games, and the tactics of cash games are quite universal

Much depends on the player himself. But I can assume that the tournament player will be a little stronger in some situations.

I am a cash player, but recently I started trying to play tournament poker. The difference is palpable between a cash game and a tournament. If in a cash game you always have the same number of chips and deep stacks, then in a tournament the number of chips changes, with short stacks the all-in stage begins. In general, there are more coinflips in tournaments.

It's all relative. I played first in cash. then I switched to tournaments quite easily. after a couple of months I went back to cash, and it was hard for me to adapt. You just have to choose your own game format, and don't try to jump around.
