The Cash Out option is basically insurance after going All in before the River, meaning that for a small fee (1% of the value of your hand) you are guaranteed some cash (Calculated based on your hand's probability of winnning), even if you end up losing the hand, the catch is that if you end up winning the hand, you will only get the money you cashed out with.

This is indeed a double edged sword, I've seen players using it while holding KK against AA and then hitting a K, tt's not pretty for anyone.

I only use it if my probability of winning is above 80% or when a player has a one outer, or when you're all in against multiple opponent and you're in the lead preflop

I have similar thoughts as you. I don't really see the point of cashing out when being behind because that basically means that you are willingly losing without a fight. Luck is part of the game and anything can happen so I would never surrender in that situation. The system is very clever though and I understand why some people seem to think it's a good idea to cash out, but I beg to differ. I'm also wondering why some players cash out totally useless amount. I've seen players cashing out something like $2.50 when they have first gone all-in with $20. I mean why would anyone hold on to that small amount and give up the chance to double that $20 at the same with a little luck? I really don't get it.

I once decided that I would never cash out, no matter what situation, but there's one hand that made me regret that I didn't do that. I had Aces and two players went all-in preflop before me with full stacks. I have probably never called as fast with a big grin on my face to find out that I was against KK and JJ. Before I knew it, I so confidently clicked "No thanks" (or whatever the official button says) and realized I made a huge mistake. J on the flop and that was it. I clearly should've cashed out because I would've still doubled my stack even though I would've given up my chance to triple it. Greed got the best of me then.

But yeah, I would probably do the same as you now and cash out when my winning probability is very high or I'm against multiple opponents. Still, never when being behind.

Who doesn’t take risks, he doesn’t drink champagne! Poker is a game for those who like risk and excitement. Insurance in the bank destroys it.

Hello! I had moments with the offer to cash out the lost hand, but I always rejected, although there was a time when I turned down before the straight-draw and lost, but for me the game is adrenaline, and what adrenaline is without risk. good luck and let the apron often visits risky ones. Sincerely, Sergey.

I do it sometimes, if the amount, I can cash out, is significant to my bankroll, and I have a somewhat significant risk of losing as well. If the amount is only 1-2% of my bankroll, or my risk of losing is less than 10%, then I dont bother paying the fee.

I have not used this option yet. It takes a good deal of excitement ... I don't think it's good.

I think if you're playing small volume it can make sense to take it

Also if you are playing a 400-800 big blind pot (which is rare) it can make sense to take it

For any standard all in spot for 100-200bbs or whatever when you are putting in lots of volume and therefor likely to run into the same spot over and over again there's no real need to take it.

Since it costs some money it makes sense to only use it when you really need it, and that would be in rare situations where the variance is extremely high relative to what you're used to.

that's my opinion on it anyway :)

I tried it a few times, but decided to not use it in the future unless its a very critical spot.

It allows you to recover your benefits immediately if you are going to win your bet or reduce losses before the event is over if you believe your prognosis will not be met, in my opinion and poker is no longer a game of reasoning but a game of luck , type betting game, defeat, win or draw!

On GG poker it works on how many outs the vil has. The other day, holding AA I got an A on the flop, go all in / vill calls - holding KK - only has two outs K and K. Insurance was cheap, click yes without thinking (I have had too many crazy bad beats there). Turn K, River K.....

To rub salt in the wound, he also gets some sort of quad jack pot...

It's an options. I consider that it can be used in the following situation:

Playing very deep stacks (more 200BB);
Playin recreational; small volume. If you play big volume and have a correct bankroll you don't use it at all;
If you are on a downswing, you could be using it in order to decrease de variance.
