I play both. Depending on the amount of free time I have at that moment and the current mood, I choose which game to play.
Both can be profitable, but also both can be unprofitable. Each game requires a certain skill.
In tournament games you risk less of your money, but it is more difficult to make a profit, and in a cash game you risk more of your money, and you can make a profit faster, but you can also lose faster.
With discipline both games can be profitable.

When I'm low on money or better for me it's cash game, but when I have enough money to participate in tournaments I prefer this modality.

Cash games ay better cards because people play better instead of risking an all in on nothing.

I think that both modalities are very good to play, but if we talk about profitability I think it would be better to play cash, tournaments are harder to win, maybe you are playing for several hours and you don't get into cash, or maybe you get into cash but you are eliminated before and you don't get to the final table where you really see the big prizes and where there are the profits, but in general everyone chooses where he/she does best, there are many who do well in tournaments and that's great.

tournament you invest a smaller amount and if skill and luck allow you to reach the itm, in my case it is more profitable although there is a need to invest more time

for you that it is better to play cash tables or tournaments, I speak in terms of which modality has more profitability
Good morning everyone, I find this question very interesting, and I usually answer it whenever I read about players who have this doubt. Mtts are games where it's easier to earn a lot of money, you can, for example, be playing at the micros and win a ticket to play a $109 Mtt, on PS and get a good result, earning more than 10K in a day. I played a freeroll on PS, I nailed and won a $109 ticket to play a $1050 Mtt satellite, the first two won the ticket in that amount there were 23 players and when there were 3 players left, I was in 1st place and played for lose because 3rd place won $200, I had cents in my PS account and pulled $200, playing a freeroll. The $1050 ticket, I didn't find it interesting because it's an Mtt that averages 20 min blinds and is very deep and the players who play this mtt are better than me, I preferred to guarantee the $200. I lived Saliba and won $50 tickets, I finished in 96th place and won $800, mtts are easier to earn money. Regarding cash games, they are games where the player with more knowledge will always profit more, they are less stressful because as it is a very deep game with an average of 100 blinds, you won't have so many bad bets, because you will play flop, turn and river, it is also a game that is easier to have small profits more constantly in Mtts you can go months without having one good result, but when it comes there are always great prizes. I really like playing cash games, it's very easy to build a bankroll at GGpoker, in my opinion it's currently the site where I find it easier to profit from cash rakeback, it helps a lot in profit. Both Mtts and cash are very good to play , the choice is up to each player.

Tournaments are better, because there is more money if you manage to win a tournament.

I have to admit I love tourneys, and thanks to Colin and Katie with their course and of course Cards Chat, I now play even more free-rolls and finish in the money most of the time.
Last night I ended up on the final table cashing out and tonight I have just won an $11.00 ticket to another Bounty Builder Tourney on pokerstars.
I play a lot of Sit and Go's during the day and even in those I have progressed and win quite often, and even on a single 9 player table you do get to a point where there is a lot of shove all-in, it is all part of the game.
Cash games also get to a point where an All-in shove is the best course of action, once I was in a cash game where we had one player who would raise 7 or 8 time's the blind just to steal the blinds so I waited and folded until I had a monster hand and shoved over the top of him. He was so cocky he always called with any 2 cards and I made a small fortune off him.

I prefer tournaments for the larger prize pool, but the game takes much longer than a cashgame, of course, but the tournament is enjoyable when you qualify and go straight to the final table.

Personally, I like cash because in tournaments I get bored when they get long, but it's up to you to choose what you're good at.

I like to play mtt tournaments more, but sometimes you can drive cash. But it's better or worse it's not clear, it all depends on your mood.

Of course, there are different concepts of profitability in cash games and tournaments. In a cash game you can make a profit every day, and in a tournament you can not win for months, and then hit a big jackpot. I have always been more attracted to playing in a tournament, I play cash games very rarely.

Tournaments, less contribution and possible winnings may be greater. Cash games are good if you don't want to spend too much time playing and stop when you want.

Cash you can live forever, tournaments you play to survive.
(And I don't care what anyone says, to get to the final table you HAVE to have some luck, you have to hit a river card you did not expect, you can NOT play straight forward poker in tournament poker and hope to get to the final table, you have to use bluffs, and you have to have "some" luck) Just how it goes.

You have to set aside a lot of ego in tournament strategy, for cash it really is a per hand game only, you play a whole different game for each and a different mindset for each. (You use your tells ability as your equity gain at a cash game, you build a database in your head lol)

Many of the highest cash game earners are horrible at tournaments and vice versa. (I can find stats to prove this, but too lazy)

I would go as far to say its in comparison to be like Boxing vs MMA! Or whatever, you get the idea. You are playing on a whole different mindframe per hand. The technicalities might be the same, but the style in which you apply your tools vary almost to a difference of night and day due to pot odds for the hand and what it is you want to accomplish as an overall goal long term. That is my take on the difference:)

Полный расклад 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Hi.
For me, tournaments have always been more profitable, so I prefer tournaments. I actually never play cash games.

This question will always be asked as long as people continue to play poker.
Where you win more, that option is better.

Hello, how are you? Surely all of us in our initial stages have not encountered the same doubt. Tournaments or cash? Without a doubt this seems to be the great question of many. It is clear that both have their pros and cons. But I personally love MTTs. More than anything because I think (I could be wrong) that he made to present so many different scenarios such as tournament stages, learning to play short stack, ICM, etc, etc. They make players improve much more in the long run than with cash. Anyway, I clarify that this is a personal look of a player who is just starting out. I know that there are very good players in cahs who went to tournaments and vice versa. So I would like to know what modality they play and why. Greetings from argentina:D:)
