But being lucky does not mean you are good, between being lucky in the game and being good in the game there is a big difference.

I am mainly an MTT player online. When it comes to online poker, I am not a good player because I consider someone being a good poker player as someone who can win and show profit consistently. And I do not show that. While, I have greatly improved over the years since I started playing and have done much better in MTTs, even winning a number of them in a short period of time, I am still a losing player overall.

When it comes to live poker, I am a much better player and think I'm decent to slightly above average. I play both cash games (casinos) and tournaments (friends house). I am definitely a winning player when it comes to live cash games and while I can't give exact stats, I know I am in the black. My largest cash game result was for $1700 @ 1/2 and I built a BR of $10K playing 1/2 at one point many years ago, which came in handy when I purchased a new car. I don't go to casinos as often anymore, though but in 3x I have gone in the past 2 months, I've made ~1.2K playing 1/2.

When it comes to tournaments at a friends house, I am also in the black. He keeps a log of buy-ins and cash outs for both tournament and cash games and I am up a little over $300 playing there. I show pretty consistent finishes in the top 3, but because of my style of play, I either finish big or bust early. Still, I would only consider myself to be a decent player and I only have slight edge over the people I play with. I don't want to say most of them are bad; they're just worst than me. I've also done well at other house tournaments as well in the years past, winning a number of them. I won a big house tournament the day after basic training that I was invited to by my squadron Sgt. It was a big game with 40+ players, $40 buy-in with rebuys and add-ons and I took 1st for a nice $700+. Strangely enough, I was never invited back...

So, if I had to give myself an honest evaluation, I'd have to say I'm probably an average or maybe slightly below average poker player, but definitely someone who has improved over the years. While I definitely have good results playing live cash games, my sample size is probably very small and I've only played tournaments at home games where players usually aren't that good. So, I'm not sure how I'd do in bigger tournaments against better players... I like to think I'm much better at poker theory and how to approach/play the game. I think it's funny, but I'm probably better at discussing poker, poker theory, and giving advice than I am at playing it...so, who would take my advice?

Final evaluation: slightly below average player. Don't put your faith in me to win, but lets talk about your game...

I still have no confidence in my poker in tournaments to leave the freerolls and micros...
I do play $1 USD sit & go but I'm not at the level of making a money out of it... I'm still 50% losing and 50% winning...
So I do think I still have a lot to learn to leave or to promote from the slightly below average...

I am average player that likes to play small buy ins and keep learning the the game being a pro is not a dream of mine.

All of us who like and love poker are good players because we care about improving ourselves and just by giving and receiving advice It leads us to professionalize ourselves. It is a long way ... and only then will we be and can give ourselves a score in THE competition ... .

I do not consider myself a regular player at all, Lower than average because it is complicated, I almost always think that I have a good hand or a good future combination and I bet all-in many times, in that sense I must improve and calm down a bit. at least the first three cards so that I can better calculate my chances of winning, and not go blind thinking that I have a better hand than the opposite.

Honestly I don’t know. Sometimes it seems like i’m good then all that changes. If I must say then i’m good.

I think that for my part I still have to learn about patience. Yesterday I finished 5th in a tournament on GGPoker. No error throughout the tournament but at the end only one ... The last of the final table is all in with 7BB, I called because I had A / Q heart and 32BB. The flop was in my favor with A/Q too, but because he had K / 10 mismatched and the last card was a Jack, it gave him a straight! An error that cost me dearly because I was first all along! I think I have to learn played on a final table. What would you have done in my place?
