Hello do you think that every man can become a good poker player? Everyone wants to win but not everyone can achieve it. Do you think that there are people who matter to learn and play remain mediocre players who lose?

About 90% lose money.

And no, not everybody has what it takes to be a winning player. Especially not in Cash Games online.

I guess if you learn some person with average intelligence to play tight poker, only play big pots with good hands and play most hands in position - maybe he can win a small amount of money being less than good at poker. But not over 100NL.

Good players lose, too. It is always necessary to improve. We all get into situations where the senior flush beats the junior flush, four of a kind beats full house. It's hard to fold at times like this.

I think your question has already been answered by Alexander Fitzgerald in a book:

Anyone? No. Some don't try hard enough like weekend slot players at a casino.

I believe that everyone can become a good poker player. The main thing here is to set a goal and be persistent. If there is a goal, a lot of free time and starting capital, then a person can quickly become a good player. Poker is a job, who works hard on himself and his game, will certainly become a successful player. If a person treats poker as entertainment, then he will not become a good player.

Almost everyone loses, it is simply impossible to win all the time, regardless of whether you are a bad player or a good one.

Everyone can become a winning player if they put the practice in and implement solid BRM. I myself is a ''losing'' player but that's only because I don't use BRM. I actually win or cash a decent amount of tourneys but I play for fun and the hope of a life changing cash so I think nothing of sitting with my entire BR. Each to their own lol.

Have you read the book? It sounds promising and probably in line with my own thinking. I may invest in it for a Christmas read. Thanks for the lead.

I think most people can be winning players but most people don't put in enough work to achieve it. Obviously some people have better intuition for the game than others but some of the best players I know didn't have great intuition for the game and studied very hard and are now crushing poker.

Hi There

Remember that always, always, always, there is only one winner in
each and every tournament and cash tables
Being 9, 300,1000 or any other amount of players
So to become number one it´s hard and it takes, money, time and learning
Thats it

I think most people could probably learn to become winning poker players but it requires a lot of discipline and hard work to get there. Many people just play poker for fun and can't be bothered with that.

I think that anyone who has a strong desire will be able to become a successful player. The main thing is to determine the goal and priorities. After that, you just have to work hard every day.

With enough hard work, yes I believe anyone can become a solid player. The biggest determining factor in my experience has been the willingness to study and apply the concepts learned to your game. Patience is also something I think a player needs to learn or have to become a solid winner .

About 90% of players consider poker to play in which you can have fun and have a good time, and only about 10% of players use their best efforts to make money !!!

It depends on the definition of 'winning'. I think many can become marginal winners by being disciplined, yes. But I think being a highly profitable player (I believe this is what you might be implying) is something else altogether, another order and one which few can attain.

I think so, but don't pin your life hopes on poker lol. Acquire a skill or two that's not poker.

You see all these high profile poker players on tv or on the high stakes tables that build their rolls from nothing, so clearly it's possibly as you see it in front of you.

To be good, it's all about emotional intelligence and creativity.

I say emotional intelligence because you can't be afraid to make a bad bluff or call or to lose your buy-in, etc. Getting rid of those inhibitions are essential because 1. they dont hold you back, but 2. because you won't confuse your emotions with other emotions when trying to make a decision where you might have to rely on feel. Don't become too dependent on feel though, you still need to be logical constructing a range and taking the math into account as well. You also need to be able to weather a lot of storms, because variance sucks but it's always going to be a part of poker.

And creativity because you can try to different moves in different spots depending on board texture, etc. You get to get rid of your emotional inhibitions along the way as you do so since you will have alot of opportunities to practice creativity while pushing past those emotions that once held you back. If you can make more moves, opponents will have a harder time constructing a range against you.

Some might say I failed to include bankroll management, but I feel you can always rebuild you bankroll from scratch if you go bust. However, when you get it to at least the few hundreds or thousands, then bankroll management will definitely need to be implemented. I, SOMETIMES, advocate a high risk high reward bankroll strategy early on because it's faster to build it that way and I can always start over from scratch if I bust. After having lost my bankroll a couple of times, I've gotten rid of that inhibition of being scared to lose my roll since I was able to rebuild so many times after.

FYI, I'm not a winning poker right now, but I've studied alot, thought alot, and am progressively becoming more emotionally intelligent everyday.

Hello.
Anyone who can imagine it will be able to achieve it in real life. I think it all depends on us and our desire and motivation.

If you have a winning account, yes.

Good afternoon everyone, to become a poker winner requires knowledge, technique and especially luck in All ins.
I see lucrative players playing Mtts and often they are all in with weaker preflop hands and they win and in my case I'm losing with hands that are stronger than villain's and I'm losing very often, I've been eliminated from an Mtt with AKo vs A4s, the problem that I am missing out on too big a frenzy, villain made straight and flush nuts.
I usually play the results of online poker, I take a deck and play AKo vs A4s, most of the time with a physical deck the result is favorable for the preflop favorite hand, unlike what happens in online poker, why does it happen?
It's hard, discourage.

I've seen a lot of pros say that poker doesn't require any special talent, so no need to be a special person to make it in poker. But it definitely requires working, discipline, determination. Basically the question whether you will be a winning player is a question of how bad you want to be the one.
