If I did not like playing online poker then I would not be here.
I'm just curious if anyone actually likes this game. It's very repetitive and addicting and time consuming, and requires patience and discipline, and the ability to quit when you are getting emotional.I'm sorry, I don't understand the question? :dontknow:
While I respect your freedom to bring up and discuss any suitable topic for discussion you desire, I'm not sure broad, sweeping assumptions equate to being overly philosophical...I'm just curious if anyone actually likes this game. And it's almost like, who likes this lol?
idk, there are things I like about poker, but a lot of things I don't like about it. I almost feel stupid engaging in it, because it's like, yes I am winning, but I am also losing, because my time is probably better spent elsewhere.
And what about all the losing players? I used to be one, and I would get so mad at this game. It's like, are people actually having fun?
I almost feel like someone who is selling drugs, and profiting off the fact that I am exploiting a drug addict. Except I am exploiting a gambling addict and/or a degenerate.
It's weird, I almost feel like a predator playing at best, and at worst I am extremely tilted and feel like I am wasting my time.
Idk, maybe being to philosophical.

To ask on a poker forum, run by poker lovers for poker lovers, whether anyone actually enjoys the game strikes me as far from philosophical at best and trollolololling or flammatory at worst.
This is just my opinion, nothing more.
In a free, democratic, capitalist society with civil liberties populations have the ability to make mistakes for themselves. Choose whether they'd like to do one thing or another.
Professionally and recreationally.
I'm sure there are countless members, mods, champs, guides, admins, experts, specialists, pros, amateurs, vets, crusher-hatchlings and all other sorts on cardschat who enjoy knocking out some blunderbuss* like a baseball batter sending one outta the park on one or the other of the above levels...
I'd be willing to wager on it with you... :deal:
Not because I'm a degenerate gambling addict who doesn't know when to stop.
Because cardschat has helped hone me into a poker player with a very specific set of skills, I can tell when someone's raising light...
*Of course I like to think I speak for all by saying hopefully the blunderbuss is only staking what they can afford.
You shouldn't feel guilty, you're playing against consenting adults who have chosen to be there, almost always. For the record, I'm not trolling, I would love too see lots of people saying they love the game. It would make me feel a lot better about playing. I legitimately feel guilty sometimes playing.
I've thought about this for awhile now. I like playing sometimes, other times I hate the game though.
Maybe it is fine and the guilt isn't warranted.
If I did not like playing online poker then I would not be here. Better chance of winning the lottery than making a fortune playing poker though.
How do you guys do this smile?

I just clicked reply then deleted all the text, sneaky me.
That escolated quickly.:icon_geekI like playing. It can be frustrating at times.
Do you like orgasms?
Sooooo true! I've won a lot more money on the slots than I have at poker. If I did not like playing online poker then I would not be here. Better chance of winning the lottery than making a fortune playing poker though.
I like playing all types of games of skill and chance. If I am not trying to make money, I am trying to better my skills.Or is everyone just chasing the dream? Like who likes playing lol.
