I used to get wasted before/during live tournaments and generally did quite well... It would get under people's skin that I was drunk and they'd try to eliminate me... Either because they thought my judgement would be impaired or to them I was obnoxious and annoying... This generally worked in my favour..
I don't use this tactic anymore but will still always have a drink or two when playing live..
I drink a lot when i play in live games..It doesn`t turn out well. I cant count on two hands how many times ive had a massive stack in tournaments, and then its all gone when the alcohol hits my head for real.
Online i normally self exclude myself when i go out for drinks. Previously i have donked away tons at cash tables when drunk.
at home it is often good to do to relax and kill some nervousness and adrenaline producing some hands, but we must not make the mistake of intoxicate sure lose the entire stack
I have found I'm a social drinker so in a live situation a little cant hurt, but then you do rent it and who wants to have to get up from table to recycle those Bacardi's?
I like having a couple of drinks when i'm playing live poker. it make people think that you have no ideea what your doing and it take some of the edge of.
Dejane of course, alcohol is very very important during the game. It helps you to relax and it helps you to faster come i to the zone. Whiskey is what I prefer the most.
3-4 beers, everything more than that is not good for me and my play(callin some hand which i shouldnt, playing out of position ,rising, bluffin...).In mine opinion better to take some coffe, soda or some juice...
Alcohol and poker is just a no. Keep your head clear and with the winnings and once you win and can celebrate get absolutely paralytic and a club/bar/pub
