Alcohol while playing?

I play in a wpt amateur league, with venues in Southern Ontario. They are strictly points awarded on wpt and bars, pubs... host the weekly tournaments. To support the bars, I would generally have a beer and something to eat to keep the venue going at the locations I play. It is more of a fun league than anything else. If one does well at a certain venue, there is a chance of qualifying for the Canadian Nationals sponsored by WPT and partypoker. This year we had it in Toronto. Several hundreds amongst a few thousand that play were there. I was lucky to have qualified and came eighth overall in the Canadian Nationals 2016. I won some prizes such as a WPT hat, A WPT mug, 50 dollar casino gift card and purchased a wpt shirt. All in all, a great time with good folks.

I do not like during the game it really interferes with concentration, so ev you become more agressive player and bolder, which often prevents win

Alcohol - Nope

I don't drink while playing. If fact I try not to overdue caffeine as well. The alcohol dulls the senses and prevents thoughtful decisions and the caffeine causes hasty decisions! I play best when I am well rested and have been eating healthy. I love to see sleep deprived players show up at my table in a tournament who have been up all night playing cash, then had a coffee and some fast food right before the tourney! YUM!!!!

I can not drink beer or any alcohol especially playing poker. I would fall asleep if I drink just half a can of beer.

not recommend to drink anything while or before playing it always effects bad on your game and some players may not like smell

Driving does not match and poker also not with bina with alcohol or cigarettes , the better water and juice

I often drink before the game. And then I'm drawn to play. During the game, I start to sober up. I can not say that it has a bad effect on the result. I'm a fan.

Drinking alcohol can make you feel amazing and feel energized then shove with AA in button position when suddenly you realize it after loose a lot of money it was not AA but 22 ,

I think you can order a single malt scotch with a water back when you are in the money and savor it.

Whwn I am with friends and we play for fun poker games for fun I will drink wine or beer.When I play online very rariry I will drink a beer .Generally I avoid drinking alcohol when playing seriously for money cause it affects my judgement and decision processing .

I think that alcohol is not a good idea for poker, you can lose the brakes and burn, there is greater need focus (if you are of course not count just on luck), and alcohol relaxes, dulls vigilance) but I can not argue that the friends of the company under beer will play more fun))

I think your mind should be always clear while you are playing, but you can drink if you play for fun with your friends

every one is managing his poker play like he thunk is better.many poeple take a courage to play. but in my opinion its very bad idea.no focus at all. so no alcohol .
