Yeah I feel like 40-50 buy-ins is enough to go up the stakes. Though I would recommend proceeding with caution.

For example setting yourself a limit of, lets say 600$, after dropping to which, you will go back to NL10, would be a good idea. It will serve as a good pillow just in case of a bad beat.

And it's not just downswings we want to be protected from. Switching to higher limits often is quite an experience, as the field should, and probably will be stronger, and it could be quite a test to your overall strategy,

I also usually recommend all players, who are about to go up the stakes, to first just open the tables as a spectator, and get a feel of things to come. Make some notes maybe, look for things that are different from the stakes they used to play. But since you are a ZOOM player, you are not able to do that, I guess. Not sure though, you will have to check whether there is a spetator mode.
