Straddle UTG $4. 2 calls. I’m in the Small Blind and raise to $20 with AdAs . Straddle calls . Everyone else folds.

Flop 2cAh9c, flop top set
I raise to $20 straddle calls.

Turn 3c
I raise to $30. Straddle calls.

River 6d
Raise to $75. Straddle raises to $140 (~$100 behind)

I call. Turn over top set.
Straddle turns over 5c8c.

What a cooler

I think I should have bet $35-$45 on the flop next time. Check/Call turn. Barrel river.

bad decision. think for a start with what cards opp re-raised on the river? he called flop, may be 45o, any dro, and then he called turn. what hand did you hope to beat on the river? A-high?

on the river we must play check-fold. gl

Yea I’m thinking now. Check/call turn then check/fold river.

You allowed him to win by betting too small on the flop.

Definitely, I should have bet 60-75% at least on the flop. He was a tight player and probably wouldn’t have called that much. But who knows he also played 85s...

Maybe bet pot size there to really make him pay for a draw.
