that is my problem I dont know when to quit i just love to play

If it's really a problem you might want to look at some of the responsible gaming controls built into the software. I've never used it myself, but there might be an option to auto-enforce stop losses for you.

I think you should stop playing when you feel you no longer have an "edge" or if you just do not feel like playing anymore.

I started playing micro stakes cash game and one day I was playing for like, 2 hours. I doubled my stack and kept playing because I was feeling lucky. Then after 3 hours I lost all the profit that I've made.

After this session I started wondering: "When is ideal to stop a cash game session?"

There are two limits that I propose in each cash game session: 1) I choose to play two hours of Poker in the morning from 9 to 11 am at 4 tables in micro limits, as a limit for a later rest until playing again in the afternoon but tournaments . 2) If I achieve my goal, which is to fold the box, I close that table. 3) Always trying to stay positive in each session. So ending a session depends on time (2 hours, whether you win or lose), the goal of doubling cash or positive balance.

I don't think profit/loss level should determine when to stop.
If you are tired or the game has got too difficult, then it's time to stop. It also depends on your stack size. If your stack size is too big and you are uncomfortable playing deepstack, it's good to Cash in profits. Especially if good regs with bigger stacks have a position on you at the table.

Stop when you're well ahead. I've got to do this, at once for all.

don't forget that you can change the table whenever you want/feel . if you don't grow up after a while , just change it. it's your move

I stop when my energy and concentration peaks and is starting to go down.

In my opinion, it is necessary to end the session when you get tired and stop showing your best game! And the balance in the cash register does not play any role!

You don't need to care about short-term fluctuations. You should focus on every hand.
When you feel like you are on tilt because you lose money. It's time to take a break

If you start to feel like you are tilting or if you are tired. Basically if you feel off your game just quit.

It's advice I should stick to myself. Sometimes it's hard when some moron bluffs you with nothing on the flop, you call, and he catches runner runner anyway.

Sometimes it's also not your day, or seat.

What sucks is that there aren't many tables playing, so you kinda gotta stay at your seat even though it's an unlucky seat. 5 river suckouts later, you are down 3 buy ins and you wonder what happened lol. Shoulda just left even if there were no other seats open.

There's always tomorrow, so get'em next time.

You can just make a plan for the day. As soon as you win a certain amount, stop.
