Personally, I stop when I feel tired, no matter if I'm on a streak, when I often lose against the same donkey, or when I have several bad beats at the same table.

I started playing micro stakes cash game and one day I was playing for like, 2 hours. I doubled my stack and kept playing because I was feeling lucky. Then after 3 hours I lost all the profit that I've made.

After this session I started wondering: "When is ideal to stop a cash game session?"
Only you can set limits when playing: you can do it over time, playing two hours and a half-hour break and continue, or conversely, you can do it with a certain amount of money, win: two, three or four boxes and out . Do not tempt luck, you can walk away and lose what you have won.

This also happened a lot to me, when I doubled or tripled my stack, then after that I always started losing. You just need to be able to stop in time.

hi buddy! .. the point is that you are not the only one so lucky .. so to speak ... at first you win and gain momentum ... and you cannot stop .. well, then fortune turns its back on you .. and gradually you lose food my stack ... I think the poker rooms work like that ... there seems to be a program ... to calm people down ... so that they start to get addicted to the game first ...:help:

When to stop.

Best time to stop is when you have a profit because you could get to a stage that you feel invincible forgetting that your playing to win money.

I think it's better to predetermine the time that your session will end. This way you are in control both of your emotions and your "luck". In my opinion there is no luck involving the game (at least in cash games).
Another thing you can do that does not involve time is this: you can simply go for 2 buy ins and the stop when you lose them both or when you double them both up.

I have a hard time playing cash, because I can't get out with the profit, and when I leave I end up going back and losing.
but we always feel when the game changes, so it's better to leave when that time comes.

a cash game is not a tournament where you need to take a place as high as possible, so in cash games you need to determine for yourself the level of winnings at which you need to stop, for example, double your bankroll and get out, well, or lose half of it, too....

I usually only play tournaments!
But thinking about your question, I think the best option is to go to a table with an established goal. Time or value reached or lost.
1- How much are you willing to lose? (will depend on the size of your bankroll)
2- When do you expect to win?
3- How much time do you want to spend on this?

I think to start with you can follow this:

1) - 2 Buy in
2) - 4 Buy in
3) - Time limit: 3 hours

When you reach one of the 3, stop playing.

This the crucial and most difficulty part in determining your keeping winning or losing in ring games. In other words it just separates the winner from the loser.
Follow the pros advises. We're surrounded by those.

Have a strategy before you see one hand..

No matter what, I always set a 50% gain limit. When I have a 50% gain, I stop playing poker. a win is a win. And taking half of a sure gain helps your self-image, stopping when you are ahead.
Definitely stop a a cash game when you have gone through the cash money you brought to the table. No side trips to the ATM, no chasing my losses.

I posted a similar thread here, I think the responses will help with your question:

https://www.cardschat.com/forum/cash-games-11/do-you-cashing-when-youre-up-461007/

Personally, I try and cash out when I start catching myself making mistakes, particularly if I start playing scared of losing my profit. I like the idea of pulling out after making 1 buy-in, then re-entering with that buy-in as it means worst case you're break even for the session.
that is my problem I dont know when to quit i just love to play
