I think that as soon as fatigue begins to appear, or you begin to succumb to your emotions, then you need to stop playing. You can also set a winning limit, for example, if you double your initial stack, then you can safely leave.

maybe start to plan length of your session? just find out how long you can play your best, for example 1 hour and after make a break. Just don't focus on how much you earn but focus on trying to make best decisions. Maybe after you win some money you just start to focus much on not losing it and then ... you lose it. So it could be some mindset problem if you start to lose your winnings after some time. So start to play shorter sessions.

Look not at the amount in the box office of your table, but with whom you play. If there are enough "fish" at the table - keep playing! If the fish is gone or was eaten without a remnant, there are only sharks left at the table - you too need to get out of the table and take your money. Do not try to beat strong players (of course, if the tables at this limit are weak enough). Playing with strong - strengthens your skill, but can badly affect the bankroll. ;)

Hello.
No, I do not make such mistakes.
After losing $ 70 in cash games, I no longer play cash games. This is very difficult for me. In my opinion it is better to play in tournaments. This is less risky.

Once I lose 20%, for example if I come in with $10 and I go down to $8 I will quit. If I build it to $15 then lose down to $12 I will leave.

1. When you are tilted
2. When you are tired
3. When fishes got away

Reading the book Axioms of Zurich can clear your ideas.

Hello.
No, I do not make such mistakes.
After losing $ 70 in cash games, I no longer play cash games. This is very difficult for me. In my opinion it is better to play in tournaments. This is less risky.

I agree. I have had the same experience with cash games online. Too much ying/yang. Also, studying my stats I have found that due to the randomness of the hands and the algorithm used online, at times I would never get a hand good enough to win. For an example, out of 7,171 hands, I have never gotten KK in late position on a specific site. It can be very frustrating when you don't get good cards and patience does not help. Especially when I work with the cards I get when I have a low bank because of the distribution and nothing you can do but continue to lose. If I want to play cash, I will drop into a ring game with blinds to match my bank. That way, blinds do not go up and I may stand a chance to get favorable cards.

This is one good reason why I love Cardschat. The MTTs give me a chance to get cards good enough to bet with. If the cards don't come my way, I can not win. It can be superstition, but at Tampa, I would ask for another table when this happened.

I do believe that cash games online, due to whatever nature governs them, most times do not distribute good cards evenly around table players, so chances of winning cash games for me are small. I can not win if dealt hands that can not win.

You can set a stop loss for yourself, so you leave if you lose a certain amount of money, and I guess you could do that for winnings too, but why would you want to leave a table that you are winning at?
I think the best thing to do would be to set a time or hand limit for yourself, rather than base it off of winning or losing. If playing live, make a set amount of time you are going to play and then stop once you hit it. For online, you can usually see how many hands you played, so for example you could say after 100 hands I am going to get up. This way you can just focus on making the best decisions during that time, rather than how much money you have won or lost, though you could always set a stop loss as a backup plan in addition to timed/hands method.

When to get up from cash game!

I would recommend setting a goal for yourself before sitting down. I’ve played cash for a little over 10 years now and I’ve definitely been in your shoes before! My goal is usually to double my buy in amount. As a professional Poker player it’s super important to manage your winnings properly. Always set a goal for yourself. Also set a stop loss. Sometimes heaters and coolers can tempt us to stay in the game. Learn to ignore these common Poker emotions since they are merely misinterpretations that can cause you to lose your winnings.

Good luck on the felt

I dont play cash tables much anymore, but good advice is to set a certain profit mark to make it to then leave the table and go to another so you will start out with a smaller roll while your profit has been squirreled away. This way you dont chance losing the whole profit you just made by calling all in and getting sucked out on.

1. When you are not playing your A game (not necessarily tilted)
2. When you are not sure whether you beat the table players (or at least most of them)

In my personal opinion there are multiple reasons to leave from a cash table.

1. Any distractions. Things like trying to draft a fantasy football team and play 12 tables (I have done this unsuccesfully)

2. Any form of tilt. The second you feel a bit of anger from a bad beat you should leave if you know you aren't able to control it

3. fatigue

4. There aren't any fish at the table at the microstakes. It is so easy to find fish at the micros and you should always try to get to the left of them if you can.

It depends on everybody if you play just a small part of your bankroll and have a small lead than you can stay and play on it but if you play for a healthy amount of your bankroll than you should leave if you win 1/3 of the initial amount you put in or when you have lost half of your initial money.

I see it as, leave whenever you want, I don't believe in that poker etiquette about hit and run, you have the freedom to leave or keep playin, you know your gut, you only know your discipline, if you came in with a might set, of a winner walk out a winner. only you know when to leave. been there done that with grinding out hours and hours, win some lose some. when your hot!!! ride the wave!! when your cold, leave theres always tomoroow.
