I dont get it...how was he a loose canon.?
you look like the loose canon here.
you trippled a raise with AQ off, he could of had poket pair and triped them up..and killed you on the river.
you had no way of knowing what he had to bet 3x a raise preflop, and allin on the flop.
i would not be proud of that play at all..you got lucky...thats it.

I watched him time and time again bet with anything and even win with it. Plus I also had notes on him from previously.. another lesson learnt(notes taking about a person can pay off).. I wrote him down as he plays anything.. Never know when you'll run across the same player.

I actually like when I come across someone I have allready played. My 2 basic notes are calling stations, tight as a mouse or loose cannon. Lets me know what I am going to be dealing with on future refrences.

even a loose canon can get a good starting hand and hit a good flop.
you gatta be carefull..i stopped betting crazy preflop a while back, and ive been winning alot more becuze of it. even with AA..i wont call a crazy bet unless i have 3x the chips as my aponnant. ive been burnt too many times...

my new rule for betting heavy preflop, is i do it on my terms..i make the bets..if someone eles makes a big bet..im out of the hand.
i find that online poker will give you what you need to win if you make a big enough bet..its a reward for creating a big pot, at least in ring games....not saying its fixed or nothing..lol...hum hum

You just need to take a chance now and then to take them down. Yes on occasion you get burnt.. but they'll get burnt more than you will. I just watched another loose cannon lose half his stack to 2 other players. I'll get the hand history on that one.. both had the same pocket cards.
