I would like to see the rules maker of poker make a rule change on the Straddle Bet. A straddle bet is a blind preflop raise, the player should not be able to re-raise the straddle unless the blind bet is re-raised.
Any thoughts on this?

From what I have played in cash games, a straddle once done , can be reraised by the next person following that bet.
No matter what position the straddle was done.

And also there is a button straddle which is done only by the button.

And can be reraised by the following player (SB).

All straddles are 'live' in that it acts as the new big blind and the straddler has the option to raise if all the previous action has been calls or folds. What you are asking for is called a 'blind raise' and the player doesn't have the option to raise if there have only been calls/folds. It would be very rare for any casino/room/establishment to say that straddles are always blind raises. I have never seen any game that didn't allow blind raises.

Why wouldn't you want the straddle to raise?

It is a predictable raise - the player is out of position to most of the table.

If the straddle raise doesn't motivate folds - then the straddle has bloated the pot - and probably will bet the flop hard - or check raise to take that large pot.

I dont really see the point to be honest. As it is, straddling is already a losing play, so why make it less attractive for people to straddle? If someone in your game straddle, and you dont have to do it, that will automatically increase your winrate, so whats not to like? :)
