Hi guys, I know that this feature won't make you win nor lose money in the long run, and it has an effect con variance. My question is: does it have a positive or negative effect? Does it really have an effect? Why does it have that effect if any?

I really don't know about the possitive or negative effect of this , I have disabled this option , I like to run it once , I like the classic way , but I would be interested in sb's experiences if he is using this toool/choice :)

It does flatten out variance so in the long run and allows you to realize your equity more often.

Why do you think, that in long run winnings equal 0?
It equals to your middle equity, if it's more than 50%, you will win in long distance.

Yeah so it practically smoothens out the luck factor. You mostly want to keep it on if you don’t know what you want.

In big cash games its always better to run it twice. If you think you are a good player then its better because you don't want to lose 55/45 situations. You might also chop a lot in those situations but in the longer run you will win more. And running it twice reduces the variance so you have a better chance of winning more.

EV have no changes, but variance will double. So, for serious play it sucks. Poker have huge variance even without it.

Only few people agree with that because most probably your opponent will have the better hand and he would decline running it twice and so will you when you have the better hand so i guess leave it running once and see what happens :p

In general, it is better for stronger players to reduce their variance, hence running it twice would make sense if you feel you are a better player than your opponent. In addition, in certain circumstance like where you feel that your opponent is shoving a draw, you are probably more inclined to call knowing that you probably won't get stacked if he hits his draw.

Exactly running twice evens out when have players on a draw. I really feel like all good players have no problem running it twice if they like their hands equity.

That is not what he means, he said that running it twice won't win you more money in the long run (than with running it once). Which might be true because, you run it several times it reduces variance.

However it seems to me that with the hands which have to hit something to come out on top will lose more in the long run? Because some cards might hit after you already hit one and therefore won't be there for the second or third run? If this wouldn't be the case I don't get why players with enough money would even consider running it twice if they are the favourite already.

Would like to hear your thoughts on this guys ^^
