PS Cash tables much more profitable than Zoom
I'm playing poker again, to kill time and ease stress. Usually I play Zoom 'cause I just want to sit down and play 200 hands right away. Sticking to 10NL because I cashed almost everything out a few years ago.
Still winning at 8bbs in Zoom, but trying the cash tables the last couple days, and man are they weak compared to Zoom. UTG is 31/31 and MP is 67/17. Only a dozen hands on each, but with those stats it still says something. PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.05/$0.10 - 6 players Replay this hand on CardsChat UTG: $10.00 (100 bb) MP: $6.56 (66 bb) CO (Hero): $12.66 (127 bb) BU: $10.00 (100 bb) SB: $6.62 (66 bb) BB: $22.86 (229 bb) Pre-Flop: ($0.15) Hero is CO with Q♥ Q♦ UTG raises to $0.30, MP calls $0.30, Hero 3-bets to $1.35, 3 players fold, UTG calls $1.05, MP 4-bets to $6.56 (all-in), Hero calls $5.21, 1 fold Flop: ($14.62) 3♠ 3♥ 4♥ (2 players, 1 all-in) Turn: ($14.62) 9♠ (2 players, 1 all-in) River: ($14.62) 6♦ (2 players, 1 all-in) Total pot: $14.62 (Rake: $0.66) Showdown: MP shows J♣ A♠ (a pair of Threes) (Equity - Pre-Flop: 29%, Flop: 13%, Turn: 7%, River: 0%) CO (Hero) shows Q♥ Q♦ (two pair, Queens and Threes) (Equity - Pre-Flop: 71%, Flop: 87%, Turn: 93%, River: 100%) CO (Hero) wins $13.96 Here UTG is 18/18 so he has something but I have a nice hand for playing against him in position. SB is a 70/23/4.4 fish that I've been trying to catch, but I'm sitting on the wrong side of him, unfortunately. 3-bet makes it expensive but after UTG calls maybe I can catch both? PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.05/$0.10 - 5 players Replay this hand on CardsChat UTG: $14.91 (149 bb) CO: $10.60 (106 bb) BU (Hero): $13.51 (135 bb) SB: $9.31 (93 bb) BB: $15.10 (151 bb) Pre-Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with T♦ 9♦ UTG raises to $0.30, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.30, SB 3-bets to $1.20, 1 fold, UTG calls $0.90, Hero calls $0.90 Flop: ($3.70) 7♦ A♦ T♥ (3 players) SB checks, UTG bets $1.77, Hero calls $1.77, SB folds Turn: ($7.24) 4♦ (2 players) UTG checks, Hero bets $3.30, UTG raises to $11.94 (all-in), Hero calls $7.24 (all-in) River: ($28.32) J♥ (2 players, 2 all-in) Total pot: $28.32 (Rake: $1.27) Showdown: UTG shows K♦ A♥ (a pair of Aces) (Equity - Pre-Flop: 60%, Flop: 54%, Turn: 16%, River: 0%) BU (Hero) shows T♦ 9♦ (a flush, Ace high) (Equity - Pre-Flop: 40%, Flop: 46%, Turn: 84%, River: 100%) BU (Hero) wins $27.05 And later, I finally get to catch the fish. PokerStars, Hold'em No Limit - $0.05/$0.10 - 6 players Replay this hand on CardsChat UTG: $10.70 (107 bb) MP: $10.40 (104 bb) CO: $9.55 (96 bb) BU (Hero): $32.52 (325 bb) SB: $9.90 (99 bb) BB: $15.89 (159 bb) Pre-Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with T♠ J♠ 3 players fold, Hero raises to $0.25, 1 fold, BB 3-bets to $1, Hero calls $0.75 Flop: ($2.05) K♠ Q♦ A♠ (2 players) BB bets $1.20, Hero raises to $3.30, BB calls $2.10 Turn: ($8.65) K♦ (2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $5, BB raises to $11.59 (all-in), Hero calls $6.59 River: ($31.83) 6♣ (2 players, 1 all-in) Total pot: $31.83 (Rake: $1.43) Showdown: BB shows J♦ A♥ (two pair, Aces and Kings) (Equity - Pre-Flop: 67%, Flop: 7%, Turn: 13%, River: 0%) BU (Hero) shows T♠ J♠ (a straight, Ten to Ace) (Equity - Pre-Flop: 33%, Flop: 93%, Turn: 88%, River: 100%) BU (Hero) wins $30.40

Thank you for your post. I agree with you completely. The microstakes cash games at betonline have been full of passive recreational players. I actually had to widen my pre flop 3bet range because 9/10 times they would fold to a cbet. It was pretty enjoyable. Then because I was raising often my opponents would shove all in immediately to my cbet when they hit strong and I would just fold immediately. Start the same routine again. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience. Good luck Good Luck To All
