Update on my graph. Been a rough ass week.......I have many leaks in my game. If I don't fix them I will continue making these days very hard on myself. My BR went from 4971 down to 3540 then back up to 4973 as of today. Been a roller coaster. I really, really need to do some hard work on where my game is dipping at right now.

You must have been eating your panda express this week, eh?

In all seriousness, good job man, I feel like we should never stop trying to plug leaks and keep studying even if we are crushing it. Hope your graph keeps going up!

Can you be specific on your leaks and where your game is dipping? (Besides BRM)
Just because I know my boat is taking on water doesn't mean I know where the holes in my ship are.

haha. yup ! :) haha.

Just old fashion studying basically. Amazing what reviewing hands and sessions and reading a book can do for your game. I always try to figure out ways to look deeper into the inner workings of how a hand plays out. Patience works wonders too.

haha.

Okay, my leaks huh.....many.

Here are a few.

One issue I have is playing when I'm tired. After wining a nice 400-500$ pot the best thing I can do is probably get going. Leave the casino and prepare for my next session. Instead I will win a big pot and then play for an hour or two more taking a big risk with my chips that I may lose a big pot or just playing when exhausted. These are some of my issues. I don't play that well deep-stacked. I get to irresponsible and begin putting anyone All-In. I think because my "drive" drops a little bit because I met my quota for the day not sure how it works but that is one leak. Playing when tired.

Second Issue is over playing a single pair. Pocket tens and Pocket Jacks. I have a terrible problem with betting all the way down the River and getting called only to be raised on the river....This is very "fishy play" of me. At the stakes of 1-3 though, it's scary giving your opponent an extra card. I almost force myself to be super aggressive at the table.

Coin-toss situations are a really bad weakness I have. The coin-toss is something I want to completely eliminate from my strategy this is like playing roulette practically. There has to be certain circumstances in which I am willing to put all my chips across that line.

Tilt, is still my biggest problem......this is something that is very difficult to deal with. I try every day. It's difficult to look back on the day and realize you lost over 600$ not including gas, food etc. Dealing with a loss like this is difficult. It can erase days of hard work.

That's only 5 BI, though. That's not even a downswing, but just "business as usual".
If you've never before have gone down 5 BIs, then you've been on a sick heater...

This is why we're saying you're WAY underrolled for playing 1/3. You really need at least 25 BIs. And when playing professionally, you really need at least 50 BIs + at least 6 months expenses for when the downswings and bad months happen.

Good BRM is the single most tilt-reducing aspect of the game. Avoids you playing with "scared money" or worrying about a few losing days.

Ah yes. The hit and run, making the people who play with you every day hate you more than they probably already do. Def a good addition to your arsenal.

I'm not trying to hit and run. And I usually don't win a pot of this size until after playing for like 3-4 hours. For example yesterday.......

This guy was returning from the club in the casino and he is trying to impress this girl he is with. So he hops on the Poker table and buys in for 300.00$ The Poker Room in my casino is super packed at this time. ......He is talking like Mr. Rico Suave and this is how you do this and "this girl here is my lucky charm it ain't the cards" haha. Well He moved all-in against this one guy and won with A6 suited. He won like 150-200$ in a matter of about 5 hands lol.

I was down for the day -200$. I then won a lot back and got it back to even. So me and this guy get into a pot together Mr. Rico Suave. Well, next thing you know i flop a set of Queens on him and keep betting until the river and he keeps calling and I make a full house. I take like 130$ off him in this hand. And he gets a little pissed and tells the dealer. "Lock it up i'll be right back". He wasn't too pleased with me. Well he comes back and this was just ridiculously funny lol. HAHAHA OMG LMFAO.

I raise to 20$ to isolate with Pocket 10's (forgot position)
He re-raises to 40$ with AK suited
I call his 40$
Pot is heads up

Flop:5s, Jd, Qh

I bet 40$
He calls 40$

Turn: Jh

I bet 40$
He calls 40$

River 10 of clubs

" I am in a state of shock like holy shit wow! Omg" This guy says all-in with like 340$ left .......

This dude just took the beat of a life time after I say "I call"

He turns over AK for a straight on the river.............
I turn over 10's full of Jacks for a Full house.

He is like " OH ****!!! You better take your girl out for a nice dinner LMFAO" "Dealer are you sure?" Does he have me covered? Finally he is like **** man good ****ing hand I knew I had you.

It was a bad beat all around.........I just said **** man sorry about that. That's a bad beat if I ever seen one lol" Nice playing with you though. I said yeah for sure I will. Stacked him >_<

This guy has no reason to be angry with me. I'm not going to sit there and risk losing all of those chips now. I know that If i go home and study more that I will be even that much better the next day. So that is my philosophy.

That was a hilarious hand though. lol.

.

If on average you are winning the big pots after 3-4 hours I wouldn't recommend quitting but maybe take a break and... I can't believe I'm saying this.. Go south..

Just make sure your breaks are 30 minutes.

It will minimize some risk with such a small BR, it will allow you to keep playing 100bb poker (you said you struggle deep)

People aren't really fans of those who go south but if you're going to be hitting and running....

So poorly played. I dont think there is a game in the world that OP could beat long term. Should go back to manual labor.

Assuming you average 4 hours a game and have played 28 days, with a profit of $2, you're averaging ~.02/hour!

Good thing you quit that $28/hour with 401K plan job that was dragging you down. In the same amount of time that's only $3.1K before taxes. Who needs that kind of money?

Certainly not a pro crushing the tables like you!
