Start off with small sit n go's. Then once you build your bankroll enough, go up a level. I found out that it is much easier to make money on the sit n go's than at the cash tables.

Take risk in life sometimes is the only way to get ahead. Just make sure it is a calculated risk and you know what you are able to lose taking the risk involved!!! All the rich people say this and it sounds like you want to be rich so good luck to you!!!

Well, we can tell him today that More Angels won the first at Aqueduct yesterday (Sunday) and paid $10.20. Now all he has to do is go back to Saturday to quintuple his money in one day.

I have absolutely no idea what that is... but if he could go back a week further and put a few grand on the Melbourne Cup winner for me that'd be sweet too. Think it paid at over 20:1. Giggidy

My example was horse racing results which is what you specifically referenced. I know nothing about horse racing, either, just looked that up on the web. Some trifectas paid over 100 to one, but I just picked the first race I saw. Serious time travel would mean serious picking!

Play lots of free rolls.
If your not a very good player then I'd suggest bodog beginner Sit n Gos (they pay top 5 players). You wont make as much for 1st or 2nd but you get paid for 4th and 5th place (5th place is basically your money back).
If you cant make at least the half way or better consistantly realize you suck and need to do some homework.
They have $2, $4, $8 and $16 games so it can fit a low bankroll.

I got away from ring games and started doing SnGs (after it was recomended here on CC).
It been working pretty well so far. My bankroll is rising slow but steady and very little flucuation.
