Hi I wanted to know what do you think Of limit Holdem (the blind are $0.01/$0.02 tables of 6 players) ? It's the lowest Cash Game Available you can enter a table with $0.40 and the Questions I wanted to ask are :
1) What bankroll do you Recommende ?
2) What is Your
Strategy at the table ?
3) And finally, is it worth it ?

I haven't played these games for a long time, when I started in the game, I had resistance to Not Limited, but this resistance was broken when I met Zoom. The difference that the unlimited game is more professional and when you play the unlimited one, it will be the reality of the game.

Thanks for asking mate. The NLHE 2 or 2 NL as most people call it, it’s the easiest stake and the first step of a very hard ladder. 6-MAX tables are more dynamic because we have to pay the blinds 1 out of 3 times, i.e, we must have a wider range and play more hands than we’d play in a Full-Ring (9 players) one.
Now to your good questions:

1) The bankroll will depend on several variants, e.g, if you are more loose it’s recommended to have more buy-ins, if you are more tight, less buy-ins, as a default rule.
If you are a beginner, I would recommend 30 to 50 buy-ins, so you can play comfortably and with less pressure.
If you are confident and have made poker courses and feel that you can easily beat the field, I’d suggest having around 20-30 buy-ins.

2) The overall strategy is simple, our main objective is to steal and defend the blinds, because we are paying it 1 out of 3 times. This means we gotta play more from the positions of CO, BTN, SB and BB, but with care. We also should choose the table where we can be more profitable, having tight players sitting on our left side and passive players sitting on our right side.
The whole strategy of the 6-MAX tables spins around stealing and defending the blinds effectively.
To achieve this goal we gotta try to play more in position versus weaker opponents and avoid to play out of position versus good players (aka average regulars)

3) This is a personal answer, but it is worth if we do own the mindset and patience, for there aren’t too much emotion in the cash tables. Playing cash is like performing a duty, we gotta play the same as we were working in a regular job.
The good side is that although some players use to find the cash tables boring, there is less variance, we can open and close the table whenever we want, etc

Honestly, I would only indicate this if you don't have the slightest ambition to earn money or improve your game. Most of the time it will just be angry.

I would like if the OP take no consideration for this negative thinking. @Kinalha is not even a cash player, and he told it himself in some post, that I will look forward and bring it to you.
He’s saying that cash isn’t profitable without putting scientific evidence to prove it, because his statement is not evident by itself, requiring material evidence.
On the other hand I have evidence of many poker players that are profitable playing low limits and had climbed their way to higher Stakes, and the forum is full of them, even myself: I’m not regular but I already made profit several times playing low stakes.
So I kindly ask the OP not to take into consideration what people post just for the sake of posting, without a strong argument to prove the ideas.
This poster is also telling that playing lower stakes will only make you angry, because in his opinion is impossible to earn cash out of these stakes.
Stay away from negative thinking and unbelievers: the world is full of them and they only reproduce more of what doesn’t add anything to our professional and personal lives.

1.) It doesn't really matter.
ie. If you've won a few dollars in a freeroll and this is the only money in your account, I would go play 2nl tables right away
If you're depositing, $10 will get you 5 buyins but you really should try to start out with more (you most likely won't be a winning player at the start), $50 would be more reasonable

2.) Value betting! Size your bets on the larger side. You can consider getting 3 streets of value on TopPairTopKicker hands because many of the players on those tables will pay you off. Go easy on the bluffing! Just as in the first part of this answer, many 2nl players have great difficulty finding the fold button.
Consider overbetting the river with good hands (or use large size). Beginners will often think to themselve's "He doesn't have it!" "He's bluffing!"

IF you're facing a check-raise on the river. Villain has it!

3.) OF COURSE it's worth it! It's an excellent training ground. You can also profit enough to save and move up to the next buyin level > 5nl
Even if you're not making any money from it, the time spent will be worth what you learn while playing.
imo you can learn much more while playing 2nl vs. playing freerolls

Good luck on the tables!

What is money to you? because if you're implying that he's going to make money playing that limit you're lying to him and to yourself. He would learn much, much more playing a 50 cent sit and go from one table or 18 people than playing this 50 cent limit buy in cash game. The time he would spend playing this limit, he can spend studying sit and go and being profitable by placing a certain volume of games, which would give him the basis to play 1 sit's or even NL2 cash at least.
Would you suggest they move up(?) to the Freerolls? Like the ones you play?
Don't talk nonsense that you don't know, you don't even know me. And MTT's freerolls like the ones on cardschat for example, can give you much more experience and learning than playing the bingo of that limit that he mentions. Or are you a regular 40 cent buy in and got rich off that limit so you can question someone who plays freerolls?

I don't recommend such low limits to anyone, if you want to have fun for an hour or two, that's one thing, but it seems you want to play bankroll, it's a complete waste of time and effort, even for a beginner, no disciplines, tables or rules work there, of course you can play plus, but I don't know why you say 20-30 cents and what will you do with them

Thanks for your reply mate. Let me just say that the OP asked some questions about NLHE 2: he hasn’t asked if he could make a living out of this limits, if I’m not wrong. The OP has asked if NLHE is worth playing, not if it’s profitable in a way that he could live out of this game.
Neither NLHE 2 or SnGs of $ 0,50 can change a little the financial stand of any players, the objective is to look to the lower stakes as a step in a ladder that we should climb.
Sorry for putting harshly, I think we must be kind and respectful and continue to post here.
The first thing we should do is to look with attention and respect to the questions he had put.
You haven’t answered any of the questions of the OP, and the questions are:
1) About bankroll management
2) The overall strategy for 6-MAX Cash Games (which you don’t play)
3) If playing NLHE 2, 6-MAX is worth of the time

Now for question 3 I would like to summon a forum specialist, he knows everything about micro stakes, has books a blog and a thread here in the forum. Ask @Nathan Williams if is it worth to play the micro stakes!

Here is the link to the thread of Nathan “blackrain79” Williams, a micro stakes expert:

Yes, I replied, I said it is not worth it in any sense to play Limit holdem 6 max 40 c buy in. You said I was being negative, when I'm being realistic instead of trying to deceive the author of the thread by saying that this type of game will make him evolve his bankroll and skill in some considerable way. You said that in my opinion it is impossible to earn money in this game, once again I ask you what money is, and I say that it is not just my opinion, it is the opinion of those who know that such a game does not add financially or in a way that gain experience. I repeat again, he should start directly in NL2 or in sit and gos from 50 cents, or even in the CC freerolls which he will find some good players and which in consequence will make him evolve his game

You are right Kinalha, I forgot to mention that to play cash we use the deep stack strategy i.e, we are going to seat having the maximum allowed (100 blinds) and also set the option to auto top up chips.
Once again, thank you very much for your reply, but my intention is to help the OP the best I can, not to begin an useless debate that will achieve nothing but grief.
I just think there was a little misunderstanding around our postings, and you haven’t answered what was questioned.
Besides, correct me if I’m mistaken or lying, I have red in some other post that you don’t play cash games, is it true?

I also think of that for 6 max and heads-up cash games, i played hesd-up one time in limit cash game, we started with $0.60 each and we finishes with $0.30 each after 100 hands something like that !
As I said in the other post, try to use the deep stack strategy, entering the table with a 100 blinds effective stack.
I would not recommend heads-up tables unless you are very confident on your skills. If you are beginning, the best is to start playing Full-Rins (9-MAX) tables, then move to 6-MAX.
Heads-up tables involves a very complex system of GTO and Exploitative game, I think this game format is best for more experienced/advanced players.

once again I ask you what money is
Have no idea what you’re talking about. I don’t play for money, I play because I love poker.
Also, I dare to state that when I’m playing I’m not using money/currency, but I’m using blinds/chips, which is the measure for poker volume and value.

Today I don't play any cash holdem, but I played for a long time to know that this limit is not going to make anyone significantly improve their game in any sense. Another fun fact you can look up is: how many cash game teams put their players at the limit at 0.40 minimum buy-in holdem tables? I know some cash game teams and I know that answer, you know?
Have no idea what you’re talking about. I don’t play for money, I play because I love poker.

The thread creator didn't ask why this, he asked 3 questions and the last question is my answer to the thread, it's a waste of time to play the cash game he described

What game is that in world when people play GTO in NL2 or less?
