Total pot $9.74 | Rake $0.30

SO a couple points on this hand

1) I decided to 3 bet in the BB with K3s as I had a King blocker and was in the mood to play- figured it was better to 3bet than just call. This was without looking at villians fold to 3bet stats which is bad.
2)Sb checks to me on flop- I decided not to go for the cbet on the 8 high rainbow board- in retrospect I think I should have with the hope of getting folds from big Aces- even though there were two villians.
3) Flush draw that comes in on the turn with the Ace of clubs- I think I should have check called- lots of aces in vilians range and not gonna get an ace to fold with that check raise.
4) I should be giving up on the river- not a big scare card I probably just spewed it off out of tilt.

What ya'll think?

Cooler or too agressive?

1) I check raised the flop to try steal by representing an ace- trying to get other pocket pairs to fold. I think this works alot of the time so I dont mind this bet.

2) When he calls and the turn gives me a full house I figure he often has an ace and I could get it all in here ahead.

Turns out he has 77 and flopped a higher full house- I think this is just a cooler though.

Thoughts?

Why are you fancy playing at 2nl? ...you don't need to check raise oop v 2 players on the flop....the hand plays itself when you hit the 3 on the turn....

Maybe keep things simple at this level instead of trying to outplay people who don't think on that level.....you'll just be bloating pots when behind and losing value when in front.

I never can read those things, but beckyg89 if you are doing what AlfieAA is talking about, I have to go along with that. I think they call it ABC poker is what you should be playing. I have found that not being in a hurry to win (example $10) may save you some of your stack. I try to get mine in little pieces any more, and watch out for the bad beats as much as I can. Matter of fact, many hands that I'm in, I'm being real to realize my hand can be beat, unless I have the nuts. Anyway, GL to you

At 2NL 6-max zoom, you should be playing ABC TAG poker. Preflop, just fold. On the flop: Cbet then give up on the turn and river. Don't do anything fancy and don't overthink things. Take advantage of all the nit fish who rarely float your Cbets with air and rarely bluff at you.

First hand is a bit of fancy play syndrome, of course there can be cases for it, but I would wait for k3s raises on the button, until higher stakes, at the very least if your going to be 3 betting a hand like this at 2nl, make sure your opponent folds to 3bets a good amount. The second hand you are way overplaying your hand on the flop, I guess raising a bet can be ok if they are a cbet monkey, but here he is donking, I just don't like your line. On the turn it's obviously all she wrote, there isn't anything you can do, but lose money, unless you have one hell of a read.

Try and keep track how often the villain donks, I would say any pair under 7s you really don't want to have an attachment to, aka if the board texture isn't great for it or flop a set being willing to get rid of the vast majority of the time.
