I'm in the high roller as well. See you at the tables ian!!! Good luck! Will meet you in the FT!
I wish.. Days 2 and 3 weren't so nice to me. I have been literally card-dead for these 2 days. Lost all, but one of my flips (got a nice little JJ vs AK victory early in the high roller).
Have been forced to play relatively tight (around VPIP 12 / PFR 11) on average in these tourneys, but that's okay. Trying my best.
New day - new hopes. :icon_sant GL to everyone!
Loosen up bro, 12/11 thats too tight, if you've been playing that tight you should have stealing opportunities on credit from late position and or some 3bet bluffs against the wide openers.
I've skyped you a present from Max value.
Back to cash games, and back to analyzing my stupidity.
I wonder, could have I gotten away from this one?

Hand 1: Push him all-in on the turn card always. He is drawing something clearly (as he didn't reraise you on the flop) which is either a straight or a flush, although him drawing a straight isn't he main concern it's what ended up happening. You need to abuse turns not completing something for villains SEVERELY. If he called you, yes you'd lose more but he would fold.
An absolutely insane session. Literally nothing went wrong, haha.
Sat in, played for an hour in a field that was literally FILLED with fishes (average of 3 per table). Once they seemed to start leaving, I quit the session, haha.
I wish every day was like this one, haha. :icon_bigs
Printing money, hurting souls. Lol. Keep it up man!
Hmm JJ I'm value betting just like you. On that board you will definitely get looked up by a lot more worse hands than jacks. You just ran into the top of his range. If you don't value own yourself much then you probably aren't betting thin enough on the end. I think it's a clear bet if he has QQ then onto the next.
AK I'd have to know his aggression stats but at face value the flop raise stinks of a flush draw. If he has Ac Xc that would make the most sense otherwise it has to be a set and the ten on the turn reduces that threat to 4 combos compared to the ten Ac Xc combos and then when you start adding in all the other possible flush draws he could have there is still a bunch of hands we are ahead of here. There shouldnt be many 2 pair hands and why would he be raising a hand with a Ten on the flop unless he now has quads. If he was the aggressive type I would call the turn here and be calling most non club rivers depending on his sizing. If he is generally passive then you can fold turn to his nutted probable 66 in the hole.
Ouch, yeah bud sometimes the cards just run bad and there isn't much you can do about it. This is when you need to remind yourself that poker is a game for the long term. Edges are small and can easily be over come by cards running bad. Just do your usual hand reviews and make sure you didn't make too many mistakes. Often when I do this and realise that I played the hands fine and just got unlucky then any tilt melts away quicker. Just play when you are hungry to.
