Hi,

Here is one more hand which i played in a cash live game ( Not in a casino)

0.25/1.00 No-Limit Hold'em (10 handed)
Pre-flop: Hero is in button with AKc Suited

everyone calls big blind, Hero raises to $7.50 ( As there was no way to isolate anything less in this game),SB calls $7.50, BB calls, MP2 calls, CO( Villain) calls

Flop: 9C, 3d, 8h(4 players)
Everybody checks to Hero. I bet $ 17 on a $ 35 pot, everybody folds except villain.

Turn: 9d(2 players)
villain bets $10, I call hesitantly as i have been playing with this player long time and i have won 3-4 similar pot with him in previous games with just a top pair. He tends to take the Pot with aggression.

River: 9s(2 players)
villain goes all in $30 on a $55 Pot. I think for a minute and for some reason i thought my hand is a bluff catcher considering his previous history and i was a chip leader having around $120 left to me, I called Villain show 9 K offsuit. I lost a hefty pot.

what do you guys think?

I think you should have just check-folded post flop, provided the hand didn't improve. You have 4 callers that checked for a really bad flop for you, honestly I would have thought the villian had a set. AK on a board like that doesnt really have much post flop value

I call hesitantly as i have been playing with this player long time and i have won 3-4 similar pot with him in previous games with just a top pair. He tends to take the Pot with aggression.

You were losing to bottom pair anyways so no reason to call. Also your opponent might have have noticed you were calling him down with at least top pair and he might become more honest moving forward.

What was the idea of raising 7BB against 4 when oop?
What were you trying to represent? Looks like low pair, connectors, or just bluff.
Only try that when you have statistics that show a good chance of success.
On the flop you should have assumed at least 1, likely 2 opponents were ahead.

the idea behind raising 7bb was continuous bet and i was trying to rep over pair on this board, As i have a image of opening with only strong hands.

He seems to be a loose player. You can expect hands like that from him. The flop was not good for you. Wait for better flops, its not a shame folding AKs. Im sure you will suceed.
