So I played 30,000 hands over the course of March, roughly 20,000 at .15/30 and the rest at .25/50. I used poker tracker 4. Any recommendations for reviewing such a large sample size?

Thank you!!!

I'm haven't reviewed a whole lot of my own hands either, but my approach is to sort them by amount lost and start with pots where I've lost the most.

Next up, if I want to review spots that give me trouble again and again I'll filter the hands based on that and then look at the ones where I won a lot or lost a lot, ie: filter for 3 bet pots, or filter for wet flops, etc.

Finally, probably the most important thing which I have not gotten around to doing yet, is looking at your winrate at each table position. And then looking for leaks causing lower than expected winrates at each position

Look for a "Databank" review on YT and follow the same steps the guy does in the vid, i supose there must be some freely available. If not, generally speaking you want to look for your pre/ postflop stats, sort them by possition etc and then find leak by leak. No clue how this works on PT4 though, i use HM2.

A lot of great suggestions in this thread

#1 Sort my biggest winners and biggest losers (a lot of times these will just be coolers and not much to learn, but it will also help you see where you definitely spewed it off or hero'd too much)

#2 Sort by specific situations, 3-bet pots, 4-bet pots, BB defense, Call in position, see where you are typically making money and losing money

#3 The most useful is a habit for the future, and that's to mark any tough spots DURING PLAY so that you can review them after. This way instead of being stuck with 30k hands and not knowing where to look, you'll have the 30-100 hands right there that you are actually curious about.

Doing it this way will help you get a ton out of your study and have you focusing on the spots that are most relevant to you right now in your development as a player.

Hope that helps!
