I assume you meant tournament, "cash games" refers to non-tournament poker where you can sit in/out whenever you want :). I won $5 + a $5 tourney ticket in a 1000 player freeroll and then I used that ticket and won $120 in an MTT :D

Iv a good (and true) story about that.
many years ago. in my old neighborhood, they open this POKER CLUB.
but as I was young and broke I could not play becouse the minimum buy in was 100 and I was not prepared to loose 100 as I have nothing.
so we decide to play 10 bucks just with friends.. a little sit and go.
and I won 90 bucks.. and I think.. now if I go to the club.. I will only loose 20 and not 100.
ok. I went there and sit on a cash table.. fisrt time ever. with 100 bucks.
3 hours latter I sant up with 750 bucks and the biggest smile a young guy could have...
Good Times

Hi.
Cash games have always brought me only losses. So I stopped playing in them and now I only play in tournaments. In addition, I prefer freerolls and that's enough for me.
Good luck.

My first cash out was on a live game, because I started playing real money poker in the casino before than online. I remember that it was 100 dollars the minimum purchase and blinds of 5/5. (I bought the minimum). After 2 hours of play, a player with a super deep stack sat on my left. To be honest I was scared and decided to fold after some later hands. As for the profit it was nothing important, only 20 dollars plus.
Greetings.

I played 1/2 at the casino for the first time back in 2004.

I remember building up my $200 to $600 and then losing a $700 pot!

I had a flopped straight, and my opponent had 2 pair and caught lucky on me in a huge one (It was by far the biggest pot I'd ever played since I usually played 50nl online at that point).

I was a little upset when it happened, but knew that in the long run I'd done the right thing.

That left me with a profit of only about $50 for the session, but it was enough to take my friend and I out for dinner at the sushi bar, and it was delicious.

I'll always remember that hand as the one that showed me, even if you get unlucky, all that matters is that you played well and got your money in good.

Since then I've had many great cash sessions at the same casino, following the approach of getting my money in with the best of it. I've won multiple $10k+ pots there since and also scooped a $1k buyin tournament for $162k.

The system works!

As for tournament cashes I dont even remember to be honest. After playing cash games for a while I started to grind the SnG MTTs on Stars. So it was probably cashing for a few bucks in a 1$ 45 man or something of that nature. The first cash, I remember, was, when I took down a 1$ 180 man, which pay almost 50$. At the time this was a significant boost to my small bankroll.

Actually i won from 0$ from freerolls a few times... but my best score was in all-in freeroll where i got 5th for 350$ lol...

sadly most freerolls are hard now 10k players with 500$ prizepool... not worth it thats why its better to play cc freerolls only or ticket freerolls with less player and bigger prizepools.

also won 8$ in acr freeroll couple months ago and runned it up to like 350$ but cashed that out after that :D

I can't really understand the question. I started with a tournaments. And start to play for a living several months after. I live in a poor country. Maybe a year after a tried the cash games. "Rush poker", at NL10. Ugly downswing. I lost 23 times with Aa preflop (all in pre). 22 times in a row, then one time I won, then again it happens. I was mad. I lift my chair and hit the desk. A pretty heavy chair, complete mess. I walk out an go to the beach, on foot. Two hours maybe...Or even more. Thinking about this. Alone, like some crazy person. Pretty ugly. I was crazy, you know. At this very moment. I didn't played cash games anymore. For a years...Then a tried only for fun. With friends, beers, you know...After 2 years I looked at my HUD, my sample. And there is like 2k profit from NL2, 2k from NL5. And then I realized what are the cash games. Pretty easy way to make money. But there are very ugly downswings as well. And tilt...

My first payout was 60$ in cash games, in fact through playing poker for money online for the first time. I did win 15$ through freeroll tourneys, took that money to cash tables, quadrupled it in 2 days, then cashed out. But then, in the next few days,I deposited that 60$ and I lost them 60$ playing cash games. I did good afterwards and still made some good cash to forget that loss but never forgot what it taught me,'Never go after your losses'.

I remember my first experience with a live cash game was 4/8 limit around 15 years ago at the Horseshoe Tunica. A friend from Atlanta had taught me the basics and we decided to make six hour drive over there one weekend.

I played about every hand and ran like God, making straights and full houses like it was nothing. I came to realize what a heater I was on that day after giving it all back over the next few sessions. It was a lot of fun though and definitely got me hooked.

Its crazy but I couldn't remember the first online winning session I had, nor the site, the ID or anything but I could tell you my first live session.

I remember the casino, when I went down there, the big hand of the session down to details, about how much I won that hand, how much I won that session and the great feeling of leaving the casino up a buyin and half after a 12 hour session. And that was years and years and years ago but the experience was so awesome that I remember it vividly.

No idea what the online session was though? No idea. Was it on Full Tilt? Ubet? Pstars? Was it on stud, horse or holdem? I couldn't tell ya.

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten to the point where I can initiate a payout, but it'll be up to me one time!

I started with a few dollars in banking, but honestly I haven't won much after a year sometimes I get discouraged but I think hey this is a hobby for me, I would like to be a professional but that takes a long time, I've been playing online for a year I've won approximately $300, it's not much, but it's something to start with, and I only play sometimes. And well, something positive comes out of everything and I think that all this journey has made me understand a little more about the game and have much more experience in it. If one day you feel stressed about playing it and see that you lose too much money, I advise you to take a break for a while and think about why you started playing poker, for money, fun or something else and come back when you feel safe to play like the first time you did it, everything in this life is an apprenticeship,
