And they usually double up because there are lot of bad calling stations!
But its still a big risk.

I would say it is a mistake on a cash game, but I myself have not seen a lot of all in pre-flop followed by calls in cash games. You want to diminish the field, but I still like one caller.

I don't think it is a good idea either unless you have a good reason.

For instance your in a raise war with someone oop and you have the aa or someone else went all in.

Reason I think it is a bad idea is because once your all in then any strategy you had is out the door and your hoping lady luck is on your side.

Other reason is equity. Depending on what kind of players are at the table you will just see everyone fold and you end up with just winning the blinds when a decent raise/call would have possibly earned you more money.

If you feel there is a reasonable chance someone on this specific table would actually call you with worse, go for it !

There are certainly situations when going all in preflop with these hands is a good idea. It just depends when. Like if you have AA on the BTN or something and the CO raises, you 3bet, everyone folds, he 4bets you, it's plenty reasonable to go all in here. I would not do it unless I have a good reason! Risk is big with 100 bb all-in pre-flop in cash game! Suppose to go all-in pre flop with AA and someone called QQ or KK, JJ, TT ....and eventually lose, do not want to know how I would feel then ?! This is just a guess, but it can not be ruled out to happen to anyone.

These pocket pairs get better with every other player out of the hand, so why not? As you are only betting 1% of your Bankroll, it doesn't make a difference, does it? 3 BB and 79s will call you

I think slow play is more profitable but you can burn offcourse.

Going all in is not my general strategy with those hands. There are situations and certain opponents that I might go all in preflop, but it would be more of an exception than a rule.

only reason i see to do it is if you hate money. if you know there's ppl that will gamble i guess it's a risk but you want at least three ppl in the hand at least i do. i want to get paid off not scare them off.

I agree with not going all in if it's a cash game, and instead betting for value, especially with AA. I have heard the expression "don't be caught dead with a lady in your hand," not a sexist comment, or at least I didn't take it that way or I wouldn't repeat it, but it basically just means don't be all in pre-flop if you've got QQ.

no you shouldn't do that because cash games the blind dont go up so that you can take your time a play

I also often go all-in with AA and KK, and QQ I play if there is no maniac player at the table
