Hi,

I have been playing Tournaments for a few months and I have decided to play Cash Games from now on. I have started playing Cash Games back in the day, but liked the Tournament flow and play-style more. I have been advised to play Cash Games first and move up the stakes there. I'm gonna be playing 5NL for now and hopefully can go up to 10NL soon.

I would appreciate any tips you could give me for going from Tournaments to Cash Games. And would like to know what kind of BB/100 or /H I should be looking to achieve as well as at what point I should move from 5NL to 10NL or higher.

Thanks!

Cash table is better any time. You can hold on to your strategy with patience. In a tournament I always feel the need to make a move sooner than I actually want to. But that's me.

Play strictly according to bankroll, try to understand the trends of the game at this limit, analyze your game to understand which lines of the game bring the maximum profit. Good luck at the tables;).

I play cash always.
To get good you need to be a good post flop player. So understand balance to bluff ratio and have a good cbetting strategy.

From my experience, you're obvi and obviously gaining more hand quality because now you don't have to worry about blinds going up every so often. So you can play more relaxed hands. With that depending on the people at the table it is a bit harder to get them to fold off their hands on the flop. Just like tourneys though avoid getting limped in with , usually with the higher dollar tables most will fold but at 1/2 1/3 2/5 , people will string along. Good luck on your venture

With 8bb/100 is ok to move to the next level, the big difference off cash with tournaments is that peaple dont shove that much.

On the contrary, I moved from cash games to tournaments, and I do not regret it, in the cash game there were only losses, and in tournaments there was a tendency of growth

In cash, they don't shove mush as tourneys ,blinds are the same and probably a boring table it's a wasting of time and not profitable so you have to change tables sometimes ..
