Hi,

I had a hand which I wanted to ask feedback about. Played in a Casino live 2/2 NLHE Full ring 10 handed. Villain is unknown. We cover all the players on the Table.

Pre:
UTG limp and Hero looks up 98 from UTG+2 raises to 16, CO (villain) and Button calls, UTG folds

Flop: 8 7 9 (3 players, Pot 54)
Hero bets 32, CO calls, Button folds

Turn: 4 (Heads up, Pot 118)
At this point I was looking at Villain's stack and he has roughly 200 chips behind
Hero bets 102, CO calls

River: J♣ (Heads up, Pot 322)
Hero checks, CO shoves for what apparently counts to 92.

What should we do here on the River?

On the Turn I was thinking of jamming to just shut him of or let him pay for a big combo (like Flush + Straight draws), but that would have been an insane over bet.

The price is pretty ridiculous for me to fold River, and flush draws also missed without us blocking any spades. However, the obvious straight draw with a T just hit, although a 6 would also have missed and just bluff here.

keep in mind the fact that he didnt value bet or want u to call could mean he is bluffing

Keep in mind that this river shove is less than 1/3 pot, it is a value bet. In live poker this is not a bluff more than 90% of the time. Easy fold IMO.

I don't think you can fold for that price, but he may also very well have held a top set or a straight from the flop. It's an unfortunate board for you with 2p.

My opinion

I think you shove on turn when the four didn't matter and the pot was up there.

after tanking for a while, I folded and he shows indeed 10♠Q♠ for the nut straight.

Result-wise it was a correct fold, however I'm still thinking whether I should've called considering the bet size in comparison to the pot on the River.

with possible str8 on the board easy fold. i dont think he's bluffing of course it's possible i dont see why you would call this shove unless calling and losing would be nothing
