What do you guys prefer and why?

Min buy in or max?

I prefer Max buy ins because it gives me more chips to play better like make better bets and see more cards if needed. Also lets my opponents know i'm going to play instead of them trying to over power me for my min buy in.

I buy in to three tables with min buying, roll the dice and hope for the best.

I buy in for the max to maximize profit in case I get monster hands :)

Hello

I prefer to play with max buy-in. I think it is the best to get more value from the good hands that touch me, and where I can put more pressure on my bluffs.

To be honest, I think I play better when I'm deep against players who are deep too, because I feel like I open my ranges enough so that in case of a good flop I get a lot more profit

Usually I usually play NLH 5 and preferably in Zoom mode. As I play more for fun, I don't usually spend a lot of money on cash games. And my profitability there is much higher than in other limits. There was time that I entered with 5 dollars and left with 85 dollars in a single session. But there was a time that I will do the bankroll.

If I follow my heart. I want go max. But to be rational I always try to go minimum. Because in long term it's much profitable. Playing poker is always fighting against my instinct.

Been a short stacker all my poker life ( March 2020), only play cash games.

Just buy in for 40bb. Tried playing with 100BB and just did not like it.

Going to give the full buyin a try again soon, to see if I have improved while playing short.

Although I only play in tournaments, I always follow one simple rule that only makes my bankroll grow. I never risk more than 1-2% of my bankroll per day.

I always buy in for the max. This allows you to play more spec type hands with the proper odds required to make calls or set mine. Why not try to win the maximum you can when you sit down?

Always max. Only way to get all the money when playing for stacks. Others may have a differing opinion, and this isn't to disparage anyone, but min-buyers are generally regarded by myself and everyone else I personally know who takes this game seriously as weak players with scared money. Seriously, why play the shortstack game if you don't have to?

Max buy in all the way, you just have more options, more you can do at the table. I see a lot of short stacks going all in which is sometimes annoying but a lot of times it's free money because they go all in with garbage.

always the max...short stack strategy is both boring and predicatable to the rest of the table. SSS severely limits one's range and possibilities to outplay your oppo post flop.

Good day!
I always take full stack to the table and auto-rebuy to full stack on loss.
This gives more room to play, I think ...:cool::cool:

I always buy in for 100 bb or more, as this is the situation I have studied most. I feel that proper poker strategy can emerge more easily if you buy in for 100 or more bb as you are not just waiting for an ace with an ok kicker, but can mix more suited connectors into your range.

There are probably situations where you should ALWAYS be buying in for the minimum or the maximum; I'm probably just not experienced enough to recognize what those situations are :D

Always min buy-in, in order to be defensive and try to get the minimal damages at mistakes. I know, min buy-in can cause trouble at the table against high buy-in players. But yeah that is life. I like defensive strategy.

Max buyin, because there are more chips to win from the other side of the table.

I always buy in for the max. It would be a real shame to hit the nuts against someone willing to stack off and not have a max stack.

I think not buying in for the max is generally a sign of a weak player and may lead to you getting picked on by regs.
