Do any of you guys know any pro poker players you can name off the top of your head who made millions of dollars over time from cash games or at least the majority of their winnings from the cash game format more than tournament play?

I find cash game to be extremely profitable and I think I'm starting to realize that I might be better at cash game than tourneys and I can definitely use some looking up to motivation inspiration from a cash game poker millionaire and try be like that player to gain money like them lol.

95% of them made their money off a lucky tournament bink, years upon years of homegame scams and bankroll chopping whales they got high or drunk to harpoon, and all their bankrolls are winding back to zero until the next scam.

Don't look up to these people.

Seek out the people you see crushing live poker in the casino at the $2/$5 to $5/10 stakes. Once you get to above that it's sort of like home games where at least four people at each table are % swapping.

They all cheated at some point to do it.

You know once your roll is at $100,000 and you sit at a six handed NLHE cash game and 4 of you that know one another are all swapping 10% to reduce variance right?

Dan Bilzerian, best high stakes player of all time. Made exactly the $30 million his father stole then filed for bankruptcy and never paid back. Crazy coincidence, but yeah definitely the best player ever, $30 million+ winner

Doug Polk? I must admit I'm a shocker at that I thought he made majority of his money from tournaments

Dan Bliz is amazing for poker, but you'd have to be ultra low IQ to think he built his million dollar bankroll grinding poker cash games.

I absolutely agree with you.

Guys, I was watching the posts here and I could notice a scam attempt going on in the forum, look at the original and unedited quote from StackThis, and look at the post with quote made by Ozzy Gray, inserting an advertising link in the middle, and maybe even a malicious link, be careful guys.

Following my comment here in the thread normally, I think it is very unlikely that a player stays exclusively in only one format of poker, I believe that most of the time the great players venture into all games, sometimes for volume, sometimes to produce content, or even play different variants of texas hold'em, to ensure a higher level of play than other players, I know some players who started playing between 2004 and 2007, and a lot of them played 7-stud, badugi, razz, among others.

But if you want inspiration, I think you can be among the big stars themselves, most of them have been involved a few times in cash games, watch poker after dark on youtube, for more references.
