I think a lot of it was just like any gold mine with low barrier to entry. In a world where 3 billion people live on less than $2.50/day, if it's that easy to make even a few dollars per day just following a dumb formula and not even being intelligent it's not gonna last for too long. This trend was happening well before black friday.

If you're doing it for the money I'd say no way it's worth it at all, if you enjoy the game and are willing to put in the time and effort to get better and would still do it if the payoff was <$1/hr, then I say go for it. I only play drunk now anymore lol, the game's just gotten boring.

I do, in fact, remember you. I'm definitely not doing it for the money, but I'd rather not just be bad at it, and I didn't plan on having to do a bunch of re-studying just to be NL2.

2nl is tough to beat because rake is suuuuuper absurd. If you have other revenue streams definitely worth learning again at 10 or 25nl.

Are you in a legalized state by any chance? If not, even Global seems better than ACR. I play on global at times mixing with stars but ACR has always been more reg heavy imo.

I am not, and given how much of a pain it was to deposit, I probably won't be switching sites anytime soon.

But you were right, I went ahead and played a whole day of NL10 6-max zone on there today, and it was every bit as soft as I remember NL10 being. I can't figure out how to get the mobile hands onto poker tracker, but I played 4k hands on desktop and a couple of hours of mobile and crushed. A lot of it was run-good, but the games were soft as heck too. I plugged a couple of leaks, but I wasn't doing anything special at all and I definitely wasn't playing perfectly.

No complaints. Life is insanely hectic, but mostly in a good way. Getting married in ~90 days so freaking out a little getting all the planning complete, but also excited to finally do it!

The poker stuff has been going fine. Nothing spectacular or terrible to report ha.

May as well post my life update here as well to keep this thing alive. I just accepted a new job offer. Moving from a ~50k employee large bank to a ~100 employee startup. Doing pretty similar things to what I did before but much more programming focused rather than finance focused, and it comes with a good pay bump as well as equity which is basically just a lotto ticket in case we make it big and go public and we don't get Zuckerberg'd
