Hey guys, im kind of new to playing online poker, but have been playing in casinos/home games for many years. I'm starting out in the micro stakes online. I wanted to ask, what is a good win rate to shoot for at the .01/.02 level, and what kind of bankroll do i need to move up later to .05/.10?

this picture may help in general terms, but it’s better to read the article on bankroll management

A solid player should be able to get 10 BB / 100 at 2NL, at least on Stars, where the rake for 2NL is only 3.5%. I recommend to have at least 300$ or 30 BI in your poker account to play 10NL. In my experience, if its much less than that, big losing sessions will tend to have to much of a negative psychological impact.

However if you are used to playing in live games, where the stakes are much higher, maybe this psychological aspect is less relevant for you. I just know, that I fell absolutely devastated, when I had worked my first 100$ deposit up to 170$, and then lost 60$ in a single 10NL Zoom session on pokerstars.

When I initially deposited my idea was, that this was not really my bankroll, but it turned out, that when I lost that 30% of it in a few hours, I emotionally felt, that it was. So after that I decided to change my approach to one, that does not include the option of redepositing after losing.
