hi all I'm not sure if this has been asked before, I have noticed situations where a LAG player will be pushing the action, 3 and 4 betting, jamming very loose.
if loses then simply reloads and keeps going, at some point gets lucky and then likely triples up, I know some tables have a max buyin limit to curtail some of this behaviour,
any advice to combat this? typically said LAG will hardly play anu hands and eventually leave the table if get like 5x buyins.
look forward to any suggestions and observations.

If you’re lucky, go along with him. If you’re not, change tables. I had one last night. He was literally doing it with anything. I went all-in with him three times on the flop, was WAY ahead each time when the cards were turned over, and miraculously lost all three hands.

I changed tables.

Against that type of players tighten up and play strong hands only

No need to try to outplay the lag or the fish making numerous rebuys. Don't go for a punishment or catching them up on bluff with some thin value, especially in deep stack stages. Just, as it's been said prior, tighten up and if it will play out in a way that they gonna pay you your strong hand, then great.
If you're used to being a LAG yourself or can see how to exploit the table and now, that there is this player at the table, you can't really do it so successfully, then let it be. Sometimes it's ok to take a back seat. Think long-term.

hi all , nice suggestions , I have employed the tighter play, around 14% vpip 9-handed , and vs those who win big then tighten up and leave, I simply dont play any speculative pots vs them , the problem I guess I didnt highlight earlier is the max table buyin limit or lack of ....
shades of playing black or red in casino, where i you lose simply keep doubling the bet until you win, some players will play this super lag idea and keep rebuying bigger and bigger till they get lucky, say $10 buyin, he jams loses, then buys in or $20 etc.... if he loses buys in for $40 , the risk is even if you stack this player a few times, one false misstep or lucky hand will allow player to regain all those losses in one hand ....
basically the BR depth playing into the game , even some rebuy mtt sorta play out this way, especially unlimited buyin ones

I would not suggest doing what I do but I actually will play more vs this player especially in position. if he is really ready to donate his chips freely, I am willing to take calculated risk.

Just pick your spots better if you care about your own buy-ins and avoid getting tilted when things don't go your way. If it's not working, just go somewhere else to play.

I have seen these games at live tables and been a victim myself.

As mentioned above it’s just a coin flip.
Red or black or Heads and tails .

Most times the player gets very lucky and hits BINGO
