Hi Nathan

Hope you are doing great in Thailand. I stopped commenting on your videos, because Youtube banned me for some strange unknown reasons other than Google being a large and stupid american company. But I am still watching all of your videos, even though I am now a tournament grinder, and you are mainly focused on cash games. Wish you all the best :)

Hey Fundiver,

I am sorry to hear that! Your comments were always very thoughtful, insightful and really helped elevate the discussion. As were your posts on my blog. Anyways, thank you for the continued support!

I am actually in Europe now for the first time, Croatia to be exact, and really enjoying it. Since I know you are in Europe as well, maybe we can meetup one day. Anyways, hope you are doing well also!

Hi Nathan,

If you have a calling station (40VPIP, 20 Fold to Flop C-bet) seated to your left what exploitative adjustments do you make when this player-type has position on you?

In this situation I usually raise bigger and with a wider range since I know they will call with worse. But then I frequently find myself on the flop out of position, with a bloated pot, and very few prospects for running a successful bluff against a station. This is fine if the rec player is passive and won't try to steal the pot, but if they are aggressive post-flop then it is a pretty hard position.

You are doing it right, just keep raising plenty of hands and getting involved with them. The thing to always remember is that they are missing the flop 2 out of 3 times too.

So just because you don't have anything with your A6, doesn't mean you have the worst hand. In fact, often it is still the best hand.

Just make small CBets and be prepared to bluff catch sometimes and basically just play some poker. Sometimes they will get lucky but over time you will print money versus someone like this.

Hope this helps.

Glad my poker advice is helping you Plut! I haven't played Spins very much so I don't really have too much of an opinion on them. I know they are profitable for some but the variance can be crazy.

Hello, Nathan. I want to know your opinion about poker with a short deck. Is this discipline much more dispersive than regular cash games?

I think it can be profitable if you get good at it because it is a relatively new game and most people aren't experts at it yet.

How do u usually play pocket 2's preflop facing a 3bet

Hey Knockofff,

This is often going to be a fold for me, especially if I am going to be out of position after the flop. Pocket 2's is just too difficult to play vs a strong range and you are only going to hit your set 1 in 9 times.

Can i ask however if this advice to delay the C bet until the turn is considered only the optimal play against a TAG player, if i am up against a LAG or other type and i want to extract some value - are there are reasons for not betting after the flop in this scenario against these types of players?

I honestly think about committing to this line of work myself, my thoughts go to sit and go though as it seems you have more chance than cash game to win big.

Hey pirateglenn,

Versus most aggressive player types including TAGs and LAGs I like using the delayed CBet line with mediocre hands like top pair weak kicker or middle pair.

The reason why is because this opens the door to let them bluff into me, and/or I can also extract value vs them later on.

Versus other player types, like recreational players or passive regulars, I will just go ahead and bet the flop more often though, because I know they won't bluff as much, and in the case of rec players, they will call my flop bet if they hit any piece.

Hope this helps.

Hey NDR,

Main difference is that in cash games you bring your own money to the table and the blinds never change.

In a tournament you pay an entry for some chips instead and only get paid if you place high. Also, the blinds go up at regular intervals.

I am more of a cash game player, I discuss the reasons why more in this video.
