Stating that it doesnt always go the way you want it to go isnt necessarily ranting but rather showing ambition. You're hungry for more and you need that to be successful! I found a fun job and havent been as motivated to play poker since then. And my bankroll hasnt changed much since either.

How do you play tourneys when you've got power outages? I'd honestly go insane!

Good luck as always and stay hungry! I really want to see you succeed!

yeah man it's insane! Like even today I was doing well in a tourney & then poof! Power cut for 30mins+!!
If it was a turbo then the whole tourney would've been wasted which is what exactly happened yesterday in a $11 SCOOP.

GL in your job. Glad that you are enjoying it. But I'm not a one for doing jobs. :pHave been looking into several business projects which I want to get into asap but everything has been on a bit of a break since I'm putting more time into poker.
Or so I say to myself. Considering the stress I have to deal with poker it's not a lie but I should really be more active without wasting a single minute of time.

Which again comes down to some lifestyle changes to try to find balance.
Joined a gym close to my house & have been planning to do some yoga as well.

It's been a while since I binked a tourney :D:D
Feels good :bandit:

I love these party tourneys. Fields are smaller & softer even though the GTDs are lower.
Feels really good since I've been running pretty bad on tournaments.

Great work! Keep grinding!

As for the rest of your thread - I just read through it, and wanted to advise you to put some graphs in. Or your stats, or just slightly deeper analysis. It's always great to talk about details, as I can see you are a winning player, so it's just about finding and fixing the leaks.

Also, why do you dislike 888? I mean I like the fact that yet another winning player (You) is not playing on the site, but I'm just interested. Haha.

I do not update my thread frequently since we put up the hangouts group. I'm really active there as you know :)
888 seems very boring to me. I don't like the software tbh. It's very "sleepy"
And I've been advised to play in tougher fields to improve my skills so I could do better at higher stakes.
Still I have a roll on 888 and play from time to time but it's so damn boring to me. :D
Stars is my go to place for cash atm & play tourneys on both party & stars. Plays cash sometimes on party but haven't been doing greatly on that side the last few runs.
Gonna move some volume to unibet as well at the end of the month likely

no it's something like skype chat
if you are back on grinding I can hook you up though. But you'd be bombarded with notifications because a couple of us are always live in the group

Not looking to grind for now, still focussed on my job/family. I might play some CCFR's as soon as I'm back in the club, but for now I'm not playing much poker.

So you don't have to hook me up!

That's a really really nice graph!!! Every line is beautiful!
Have you noticed a big change in opponents between 5NL and 10NL? Is 10NL a lot tougher?

Well it's the same things when you keep moving up tbh. Regs to Fish ratio gets higher. Regs become better. A lot of bum hunting at the tables. Regs don't want to play vs regs so as soon as a fish leaves the table dies down. More 4bet bluffing. Couple of very loos maniacs here n there. etc

It has been a bit hard for me to keep the red line like that tbh. The first 8k hands I was break even at the red line at 10NL. But since the downswing started it kept on going downward. When I tried to fix it I made so many mistakes.
I think it's completely dependant on my mood.

Lets say I play first 1k hand focusing a lot putting up my A game. But then after I loose focus, shift the gear down a bit & start making some unconscious changes to my game. Ah then the red line changes for good.

This is what I've noticed a lot this month. So what I should is stop asap when I feel I'm changing gears, take a break, get motivated again & get back on later

I went to the gym today after such a long time. Feeling great both physically & mentally. I've missed this so much. Not gonna miss a single day again.
Next thing is yoga which I'm gonna go from next week onward. And some diet changes as well as a couple more lifestyle changes.

By doing these things I think I can be at the top of my game in everything. Balance is very much needed

Seems like you're in a better spot mentally than a few months ago! That's really nice to see!
It seems to be your biggest weakness. You get that in check, and you'll be a world class player in a couple of months/years! Good luck!!

Can I join your hangouts group? I just got into 5nl, following your 40buyin rule.

Small sudden thought about sports, gym and poker are somewhat similar by attitude and mentality. Rinse and repeat. Maybe some kind of different sport would give more balance.
