Alright another good session In the afternoon.
+$90 for the day which is great. overall 28bb/100 over 2600 hands.

Excellent well done.

Not a fan of calling 3bets with 97s K6s or 44., or calling with 52s... even when we are experimenting. Remember what John A says,,,everything starts with a solid preflop game, it keeps poker much simpler, when you play bad hands in odd places you get some very tricky decisions and bad things tend to happen.
When you play good hands in good situations then good things usually happen.

Last 7 days performance.

Will aim to focus on better decisions and try and steady the pitfulls and keep the upswings :)

The red line clearly doesn't have too much impact with the green, although around the 2.1k mark the red line did encourage the green line.

tonights session 3hrs table cleared up with just regs so packed up went home.

+$245 for the night.

online: +$149
live: +$393

2 awesome hands

hand 1. 52s utg bets 12 and 5 of us call.

flop goes 52Q

now this is the trap. i bet $7 and utg bets $14... and i raise to $42 and he goes allin with $98 in total and i call and flip over 2pair and he shows QJ... i hold up and doubleup.. its 100 buyin so was nice.

................

2.5hrs later opponents stack is $295 and mine is $400 just over... anyways everyone does their limp and i look at 43 ... im considered tight at this stage... i bet $6 and 5 callwrs.

flop goes 25J ... here we go... do i or dont i hmm alright we deep lets dance.

checks to me and i bet $10 and 3 callers.
turn comes an Ace now theres 2 flush draws out there but i got the straight.. i bet $30 my hands pretty disguised and loving life. 1 caller.... got the reg on a hook.

river card is an Ace
i bet $60 hoping to get snapped up my Ax but now lady reraises to $180 .... i didnt expect that.. it wasnt part of the plan... anyone else id snap this off and see AK ... but i looked at my stack thought omg so much to risk if im wrong. Shes quite tight she doesnt seem to be the AK type she has to have it... after tanking i fold and im so shell shocked shaking my head and say please show ur AJ and yeh after i fold she shows exactly AJ

phewwww....

earlier in the night
JJ limpers and i raise $16 crazy sb calls.
flop KT3

sb checks and i bet $25 and sb shoves with $120
i ask him if he has a set of tens and he had a massive glow smile on his face... i fold and he doesnt show.. he said he had K5 dunno tho.

i got him back with KQ vs K8 and milked him bad ... he wasnt happy but thats what they get playing possum with me

Great fold on the wheel hand. So so difficult to lay down hands when you've had the nuts on the turn.

Oh well i'll leave this behind. and moving forward i'll focus on playing longer sessions when winning and practice shrinking the losing sessions.

I use to never be able to fold top pair hands, now I can.. so there is no reason why I can't learn to do this and become successful at it.

AJ - Fold pre to the 3bet, river looks like a x/f as we have Js which blocks most of his bluffs.

KK - I 5bet shove pre, fold river.

A8o - Flat pre, 3betting weak, unsuited aces OOP is going to put you in shitty spots, if this is an MTT I'm 3Bing here all day but there's a lot less incentive to in cash. Check turn. River is a complete spewcall. Flush got there and all of his Tx will be jamming this river.

JJ - I like flatting pre here, snap fold to the 4B.

KQ - Fold pre, I like your line post, ****ing disgusting river :(

AA - (puke)

AQ - 3B sizing is far too small. I'd make it $1.80. Check turn, snap fold river.

First session today, there will be more and plus going casino tonight.

When winning its time to get greedy!! :) money money money... gimme gimme gimmie... when losing need to take time away and rest :)

Had a lovely morning at the beach and had a great morning with wife and kids... Afternoon session after some lovely hot son... and well its the opposite of yesterday and noticed yesterday vpip was 25/18... today is 18/14 but we are getting some good hands and coolers going our way :)

I'm not one to dwell on bad coolers if you notice, its part of the game and if I do lose it's not because coolers because they are always among us... just means we need to upgrade our game elsewhere.

Also 2nd pic is just showing 4 tabling 10NL :)... will be continuing on but like to brag here or there after a terrible day yesterday.

I know a lot of people are against A2o-A5o.... but if you had a gun to your head and you HAD TO HAD TO play it or you get shot... please don't say you'll take the bullet lol.

What advice would you give :)....

Late position.
Single raised pots only.

Perhaps.

for trips on the low card, two pair or to make a wheel.
Don't get wedded to an ace on the flop, don't call more than 1 bet if the ace falls.

Nothing good comes from calling 4bets.
Usually nothing good comes from playing 58os especially calling in a raised pot out of position.
This is whale like, you should be ditching these hands without a thought, why are you even thinking of playing them?
And no it doesn't matter how often they are opening and or folding to 3bets you still shouldn't be using any two.

I do open them from button.
I do use them for 3bet bluffing vs. players opening way too wide or players mucking way too easy. Usually players opening too wide and folding are UTG spesialists with 50% ranges, or nit ones opening from CO or BU, hardly ever it's good idea to play vs nit SB even with position. Wide players opening late position do not like to fold, so bluffing them is hardly worth it, at leas OOP, but it might suit you better than for me.

Sounds like polished poker definition to ATC 2 player, if my memory servers me right.

I use it to steal ... i think the hands got value... whenever i see a situation where an opponent stacks off with no thought it really excites me.

A3 vs AK and flop goes AA3 or A33 .. A3x perhaps but yeh doesnt happen much

im just thinking outloud

.............

side note going to play some 5nl for a bit to protect profits and while i dont feel things are goin well last 2 sessions i feel in a bit of a rutt.. makes good brm practice..

will update later today... also lost casino session sunday argh was carddead and didnt fold enough pre. got into some bad habbits. overplayed so i was falling into some of my old weaknesses... playing some small sessions this week

I see and agree partly what you are saying and against certain opponents I do play with 70% call range also OOP. Even against UTG opening range A5o has about 37% equity, so there too I agree. I don’t like the idea of playing it against aggressive player by calling, he makes it too difficult to play in theory and in practice. The difficulty of playing small Axo is massive, against every hand you flop that A3x you flop 10x more Axx and can’t really fold to first CB. Also even if you would stack vs A3x every time, do any mistake, that is still not enough to have positive ev so you need more.

As a LAG, I don’t think you want to dance vs strong hands with air ever, so small Axs hands would give you a better tool where you can push people away more easily in many cases when the A does not hit and here too IP would be mandatory against all but passive players. But my style is more weak TAG so for LAG my talk might sound funny.

MP checks, Hero ??????????????????

Do we check here and go for pot control? Or do we check/raise... or lead out? ... what is best here.

If he has overcards here he isn't going anywhere? The pot bet on the flop suggests very strong and now the turn check is bizzare, it doesn't make sense. So do we assume he's strong here trying to fool us? Or someone acting strong and giving up?
