I am in a similar situation as you are. I am crushing 5NL and had a few sessions at 10NL. It you know your game and are confident with it then all you need is the BR to support it and that was a problem for me. I play the LAG style at 5NL becouse my BR could support losing a few bucks until i start winning big.
I carried the same way at 10NL and it didnt go so well. Its not that i was playing bad or that 10NL is harder, its just that my BR now was getting hit by those few bucks i was losing in the beggining and i didnt feel confident making too much moves with so much at stake. To be clear i had about 20 BI for 10NL. If you didnt play 5NL before i advise you to go trough it couse its going to upgrade your level of thinking and if you are multitabling its going to be a litle bit harder than 2NL and you might want to reduce the number of tables you are playing at the beggining. Also the jump from 2NL to 10NL can be a litle bit scary.
I am now playing 5NL deep until i get my BR to about 30 or maybe 40 BI until i start playing 10NL again. GL
