Well, we've all been playing for a bit, everyone basically here knows how most of the people on this table play like. Make your own judgments to what should be done here with this hand. For those of you who knows how Stef plays, also take that into account if you guys have played with him. He was limping with hands like 63 ect, before. Easy fold? Tough call? Is he just making a big stack push or does he have a set/straight/top two??

The question is how would you play it in my position. Do you call or fold? And why?

I would fold cause he said he would show & most of the time when people say that to me, it means they have better. So i would fold but i thought you had asked this above question that is in bold so that's why i asked you what he might have..????????

There are a couple of combinations that could beat you here, but seeing as how you are controlling the betting, making a 2x pot sized bet here doesn't make sense on his part. Based on that alone, I don't think that you can put him on a winning hand. If he were holding a straight, he'd let you bet out on the river, and force an all in call when he raises. In this position, I would put him on either TP/TK or a flush draw. Either way, you have to call here IMO.

I've never played Stefanicov. Does he raise PF a lot? Does he make big bets with junk a lot? If the answer to at least one of them is "yes," then this is a clear call.

If Stefanicov plays tight before the flop, then this is probably a fold since Q9 wouldn't really make sense (and neither does K9o, but that's neither here nor there!).

Um there was no raise preflop FP. And Stef is a bit loose at times, but he does is smartly. He's not a maniac, but he isn't a rock that's for sure.

I know there wasn't a PF raise, which is why I asked. If he's aggressive preflop, he would presumably have open-raised KQ, AK, KK, QQ, etc. So if he raises a lot, then we can discount the probability of those hands.

Having played against him I would put him on AQ. He's taking advantage of your short stack. Hit him with your purse to remind him he shouldn't be strong arming a lady.:D

KK and QQ would probably have been PF raised, so those are out of his range. And although his flop bet was 3/4 pot, to his stack this is pretty weak, and most likely either a feeler or steal. I still don't think he has a strong hand yet.

The Q hits the turn and he (traps) check/raises you all-in.

This tells me that out of his range he is probably holding Qh/xh, Q9, Q7. I've discounted the straight draws, because he said he doesn't have them. Normally, I wouldn't do that, but, he said that he would show. People will generally lie about what is in their hand, but, if they say they will show they do it.

Either way you are ahead of most of his range here, so a call should be pretty easy.

I fold. Its either KQ or JT.

Both fit hand.

JT flops an open ended straight draw on flop and KQ flops top pair 2nd kicker. Both hit on turn.

I think with the strenght you displayed no other hand would be comfortable enough to think its ahead here. I dont think he has 2 pair queens here.

77 is possible, as are KQ, J10 (you can't trust anyone to tell you the truth at the poker table), 2 hearts (was the turn a heart?), 99 probably raise pre-flop but possible. AK and AQ would likely raise PF. I'd fold with this minimum investment and wait for a better situation.

Q7, one of those junk deals that is easy to limp in with. He thinks he hit the bonanza, and is now playing the bully.

Raise more on the flop! It'll make decisions later in the hand easier. I might check behind on the turn for pot control particularly since this card completes some draws and improves hands like KQ that might have called on the flop.

As played, you need to win about a third of the time to make the call, and I think you're ahead maybe this amount of the time. Hmmm, JT or [ah][10h] I think are likely. Against this opponent I think a call is marginally +EV... plus for metagame it'll reduce opponents' willingness to bluff you.

I dont think someone bluffs here. If its a flush draw hes much more likely to have bullied on flop than wait for a blank turn to do it.

Besides, shes reraised flop. Shes indicated a lot of strength.

So she has at least a pair of kings, with a strng kicker, which can very well be a queen in that case since AK would probably raise.

SO by turn he has to at least put her on 2 pairs or even a set of nines. What else would he think she has? And what could possibly make him think he could make her fold up to a KQ?

If he doesnt have straight or KQ theres no reason he shouldnt be putting her on 2 pairs.

Of cours i dunno stef so i dunno if hed do that but just because hes the big stack and aggressive doesnt mean hes just throwin his money around

I put him on a something along the lines of A10 of hearts, I think Stefan is definitely capable of making with both the nut flush draw and gut shot straight draw, along with being a big stack push. I thought I had most of the hands in his range beat there.

So when you asked him "limp in w/ J10 offsuit" he technically wasn't lying when he said "no" cause it was J 10 SUITED. I always fold when some1 i know says "ill show" cause that usually means they have better.

No he wasn't technically lying, but that didn't really factor into my decisions. I really thought he had A10 of hearts.
