This is only the third hand villain is at the table for and he is on button, this is my first hand at the table and im on the BB. The table is full ring

I had no idea how much to bet here on such a draw friendly board, is it best to bet big and take it down, or try and get value for our big hand and risk being outdrawn. Can we comprehend we are already behind?

well i really dont think the 9 should scare you at all. If you think your good on the flop, you think your good here. Only hand this actually hit was 78, and if he was chasing 78 its live so you can punch him in the face after the hand lol. I like what vanq says, throw out a bet of 30, maybe even higher but i think if you get re-raised its tough not to think ur beat. Of course i dont think he would have called the flop if he had you beat so i really think we are good and may even push a reraise...idk lol im confusing even myself

ok so everyone seems to think there is no need to be afraid of the turn, of which i was not, but the whole hand gets worse

Villain calls £28 (This call gets me thinking about what he might have, maybe he isnt calling a flush draw, maybe he has something like k,q with the king of spades so im already beat)

River:

Ok, so the flush draw wouldnt have been hit, but a draw to queen high flush has just connected? So now what, check and hope for a check behind? Bet small and hope for no re raise? bet about 40 and end up committed and having to call a re raise?

he may possibly be holding the queen of spades but i think u need to push
if u push for ur 58$ and hope if he puts u on a flush and folds{thats if he has sraight}
if he has 2 pair he cant call
he cant call with flush draw
u cant check cause he might bluff as it looks like u missed ur draws or were bluffing
u cant make a small raise as it is suspitious that u bet big all the time and then slow down on river

i would push

Don't we want hands like 2 pair calling however? Also if he has hit is straight i very much doubt he would think ive already hit the flush, if roles were reversed i wouldnt put me on a ready made flush. Therefore by pushing all in arent we

1) throwing away all our chips to the best hand in a careless way
2) missing out on value

There must be a value inbetween somewhere that can achieve both things e.g getting value and avoiding going broke

You push here the only hand that calls is one that has you beat (unless 2 pair calls but thats just crazy) and you want him to react to your bet so you can put him on a hand. I check and/or bet small and hope to god he checks and i can take this here. I really dont see him calling you down unless your beat to tell you the truth. Maybe he had a 4 flush but odds are if it wasnt k high flush then it was q high and he hit his str8. He may even check it down with q high str8 fearing a chop/flush

Na i think betting small will open the door to re raise busted draw steals. So i dont that that is a good option as it will leave us in mroe of a pickle when faced with an all in re raise. Also if he had q high straight why would he check fearing a chop? He doesnt lose anything in a chop, he breaks even

Flop and turn were played right. River is pretty much atrocious, but once you think of it, a lot of the hands that were behind have not necessarily improved (not all the hands with wich villain calls flop and turn have a Q in them).

I think this is a good spot to b/f 20$ since I figure:
a) I'm not getting reraised by worse here
b) It looks valueish and will have worse set, two pairs look us up often enough for it to be valuebable.

C/F is another good option. I really dislike c/c since I really don't see a lot of bluffs and most villain check behind all the hands that we beat anyway.

We have to remember that a set of Aces, altough very strong, is not invincible on this board.

I like putting in a small, begging-for-a-push-or-call type, bet here. If he's got the Q or the idiot-end of the straight he'll have to be afraid of the flush / bigger straight and just call. He'll also likely call with smaller sets / 2 pair hands that we beat. I just don't see a hand that we beat coming over the top here from most players. He'll be too suspicious that you're betting with the nutz that unless he has the goods, he won't raise. So I'd bet say 15-20 here and fold to a push.

It appears everyone has their on ways of playing this and noone really knows like i dont. I probably made the worst move on the river however by pushing all in. He called and showed king queen with no spades. So he was possibly not raising to ensure no 4 spade came, then i did all the work for him on the river. He had me beat from flop, maybe next time i need to control the pot a bit better, cheers for looking at this guys.
