I have been playing a lot of 7 card H/L on stars and I ran accross this very interesting hand. I really wasn't mad about losing to such a whopper. Even with my whopper.

There was an obvious flush with only 4 cards to come for you for the fullhouse.. you were on 6th st and still didn't have the fullhouse. I am not one that good in stud but I would have folded right there,

I would have played the hand all the way to the end but that's just me. Tough break. Thanks for posting a seven card stud hand. I don't think we ever one in the Hand Analysis. If there was one, it was a long time ago.

Once you were head to head, i'd have just called him down and not raised on the river. you didn't have low, and it was obvious he did (the 4 shown cards were all 8 or under). So in reality, if you raise on the river, you can only possibly win your own money back (minus the rake which you are needlessly increasing). Also, although a flush is his most likely holding, he had 4 cards to a straight flush showing, so it had to be a possibility. I wouldn't have folded, just got to the end as cheaply as possible (you're lucky I suppose this was limit!).

Edit; And reading Twizzy's post - he was right. You had good hand, but were more than likely way behind on the high at fifth street with no chance for the low, so you should have folded then. So all round Dennis
