Should I have bet? With the King there I had no idea he was on a straight and with the push all in I figured top pair for him. Throw me some feedback as this hand hurt..

"dont go broke in an unraised pot" comes to mind. you gotta raise that turn though, it added a 2nd straight draw.

Your only hope of saving some bucks would be if you were up against a savvy player who realized he was on the ignorant end of that straight. Then when you panic bet the turn, cause you see there may be a straight, he might decide that you had the business end of that straight draw, likely only calling.

Otherwise if the villain was not savvy, all he would see was his straight, and he's unable to bet for value, cause in his mind he has the nuts.

Slow playing trips. I used to do it all the time, and have changed that a lot. I just know that is the poker gods favorite trap......

Hard to get away from this one. But 5-handed, you could throw a little raise PF with 77. Its kind of a small talk point though. On the turn, you bet $1 in an 85c pot. It doesn't sound too wrong. His huge river raise is suspect, but it could be 2 pair. This laydown is probably possible but it really needs to be a good day. Bad luck.

I think you should have raised preflop because you are encouraging people to limp into this pot with rags.
