Someone on this site wrote, to paraphrase, “it is the discussion that we learn”.

Well, there has been no discussion. So, my thinking is that CrazyMac is a good player and he has a read on me. We have been playing together for a while as players pop in and out of the table.

Max buy in is $1000 dollars, so the three of us left at the table are all playing with gambling money.

I have two pair after the flop, I am going to make a pot size bet. He has watched me do this each time I have taken down the pot. He has a read on me, or so he thinks.

He knows that I prefer to play post flop, but will call his massive over bets (raising to $200 regardless of position) if I have good cards (sorry don’t have the Sklansky groups memorized yet…)

Hand results follow.

PS. The anonyamizer (sp) didn't seem to work for me....and I'm not quite sure how to post the results in the same thread. Sorry, haven't learned the tutorial yet...

me too. But there were 52 views of it, and no one responded.

But this is not the thread I am thinking of.

Thanks for the reply.

Sometimes it takes a day or so to get a reply. Some people only check in once a day, and there are a lot of lurkers.

Shorthanded, any Ace has a good chance of being ahead of what your opponent completes from the SB with. In other words, consider raising preflop.

As it is, it's a small pot, not many players in. Make a pot sized bet. If he shows resistance, then decide whether he has a ten or bigger ace that he limped in.

It doesn't matter what you do at a play money table. I strongly suggest you start playing real money because not only is it impossible to learn how to play well with play money, it's way more satisfying.

But obviously you bet. If someone raises you fold.

If you're going to post a hand, at least make it an interesting one... this is as dull as they come and that's why no-one replied.

Yup. That me. Dull. and I must agree with the person that I paraphrased in my second post in this thread. It is in the discussion that we learn.
Thank for your help.
