Absolutely tiny. 75c into a ~$3 pot and he's going to be calling with just about anything here.

I'm sort of 50/50 on c-betting this flop. We've got solid outs with our overs + gutshot, but it's so likely that our villain has hit this flop that it may make c-betting a bad play.

We can probably play this here. Weak limp from MP, we could raise it up (~$1 or more), or even limp. I can't see how we're playing 44 for a raise utg and not A7s in position here. Folding is of course fine, though.

Agh. Again with the small raises. Raises in position (I prefer in later pos.) are fine with hands like this if 1) we raise enough to get a good chance at taking it down preflop and 2) we can outplay our opponents postflop.

You probably have the 'skills' to outplay them postflop, but by betting such an inviting amount PF, you're letting them see a cheap flop, and at this level it's damn near impossible to push a monkey of TP, so it's better just to fold PF. These types of positional raises work best on tighter, more passive tables.

Too weak for a limp. Again, on a tighter table I might get involved since there's such a strong chance of me taking down the pot post-flop, but at this table where we need to hit with this hand in order to get involved, I just fold it.

Well played, standard fold. He's either got a set, a king he's not letting go, or a flush draw. Even if he's holding a flush draw, someone behind us might decide to stick around with Kx, so the fold is good.

Seems like the same problems as w/the other session. Raising too little with those limpers behind you, and raising with marginal (lol 23h) hands in early position. Raising those limped pots can really, really be a great steal once in a while, but in order for them to work, you need to raise enough to a) give bad odds and b) advertise a monster. Small 3BB raises in multiway pots are just pot-sweeteners.

I'm definitely no LAG expert, but if you're gonna raise or especially re-raise preflop from early position, then don't you also need to play the flop as if you've got a monster? I'd be confused if I'm at the table and an early position re-raiser checks the flop.

No PT vid for this, Chuck? :)

Thanks though, to you and to misch for posting this.

Some of this is really horrible. The biggest general flaw is those silly 3BB raises when you want to be isolating and getting HU, either because you have a hand that plays well HU or you have a crap hand and have a better chance of bluffing out one player post flop than ~3.

I'm definitely no LAG expert,

I wouldn`t have said that Chuck was advocating LAG in these two threads.

It looks to me like he is suggesting to Misch pretty standard TAG tactics - don`t play trash hands; when you have a hand bet heavily.
