at this point i'm thinking he hit two pair on the turn, then maybe hit a set of jacks on the river.

He could also be playing 98 suited, and thinks his straight is the best.

I'd almost think he was slow playing a set of 6's, and began to push it on the turn to knock out the heart draws. Maybe.

Hell, I can think of a lot more obscure scenarios, but the action is extremely odd... what kinda reads do you have on him.

And why didn't you fold K9 preflop.

I just caught this....

Why did you bet .10 into a pot of .66 on the river? I know it's low limits, but what did you want to accomplish with that bet. Value? Feeler? A chance for him to reraise so you could push?

Any reads on this player? It is important in a hand like this.

His huge turn raise has to mean something. It looks like he filled a boat here with JT from his betting pattern or he made the straight on the turn (possibly 98?). It could also be QT and he's overbetting the river. Tough situation. Any kind of read on this player is key here to call or fold.

yeah, basically, he already bet on the turn when i filled my straight, so on the river i bet small thinking he would raise and then i could call or reraise and take down the pot. but the amount of the raise had me messed up so i just called the showdown.

he was playing LAG and not taking anything down, folding on the river when he got callers and so on. the fact that he just called the small blind has me feeling that i have the best hand on the river. he rebuyed twice while i was at the table as well.

Well, if he was LAG, and that was your intent was to call, then I'd call.

Yeah, I'd call.:icon_scra

So he limped with AK? Tough luck. The way the hand was played, it would not have been a hand I put him on.

I think I slow down with his raise of your bet on the turn then check the river. I'd still probably call the river, but you'll end up losing less because he will likely bet less to induce the call.
