This seems to be the norm at these micro level donk fests, nice thing is I'm slowly learning how to win at these. I didn't win this hand, the other fellow lost it. Nothing better than getting free cards!

I never check queens on the flop, unless a king or ace flops, it is too susceptible to too many cards on the turn.

Yes, you got free cards which is a sin in hold em poker. You could've got more chips if you bet on the flop, turn and river. So, you lost some potential profit.

Looks like the guy did right pre-flop, then tried to sucker some more bets after the flop slow playing. The turn brought teh king which scared him.........the river he changes his mind and bets.

I did this same type of thing when I first started playing....no biggie. Just a hard learning curve for the guy.

But even if he had bet big on the flop the other guy had a nut flush draw and may have very well called him. I think this hand was lost no matter what he did. To many people will call anything with a monster draw like that. In fact he could have lost a lot more chips.

Free cards or not you would've held on to the nut flush draw at micro limits right? You had an overcard and 4 to the flush, and probably weren't going anywhere, so the guy probably didn't lose nearly the amount he would've had he bet the flop.

no way i wld slow play that hand with two diamonds out there. i wld hav been all in when the flop came out. I would suspect the other player had two high cards given that he called those big bets preflop. I often make this play and get called by someone drawing for the last diamond or drawing for an Ace or King. OK-very annoying if I lose but that will only happen 30% of the time.
