Only play hands with A2 or A3 in them and you won't go far wrong. I'm rubbish at PLO8 too, but I had a winning session at Party yesterday. It's good fun!

Gordy was in the SB with a bunch of limpers and no raisers in front. No reason not to play his hand cheaply. It wasn't a great hand but it did have possiblilities with a pair, and flush and straight cards. After the flop he had a flush draw, no reason to fold here. The turn was checked so he got a free card to his flush. He didn't bet the river because he didn't have the nut flush and someone with ace X of diamonds probably scoops.

I don't see where he made any big mistakes here. Now if you would have bet the pot on the turn and he called then he would have made a mistake, but could you really make that bet with only 2 pair, and not top 2 pair at that? Probably not.

Tough play here.. My philosophy towards O Hi/Lo is to only call or raise when you have a hand that has potential to scoop the pot.. You could potentially make the nut flush here if the board is kind to you however you'd need a small miracle to scoop the entire pot playing Ace 7.. I think if you didn't connect with the flop here, hitting two pair, the original post would be irrelevant because i'm going to assume you fold the flop..I'm rambling sort of but the gist of it is, you really had little to no chance of a scoop, so fold preflop.. My, it took me several sentences to break down what Dorkus has become famous for proclaiming in nearly every hand history posted to this board..

The free card on the turn is the mistake (with the exception of folding this PF) You have top pair with a potential flush draw out there...you can't let three players get a free look at that. Put out a half pot bet if you're not confident in your hand to try and reduce the players in the pot.
