This is another hand that shows my confusion on making the proper bet with a very good hand.
I bet you guys don't like my preflop raise, but that's what I did.
Certainly I at least call his raise. Or a raise again?
I didn't feel that just making the call on the $3 bet on the flop was right, but I'm always (and this is pretty consistent) afraid of running them off if I feel I have a very strong hand (the only two cards I don't have beat at this point are K8, right?) Trying to extract more $.
So on the turn, he's dead. I get the same feeling and figure I'll make a bet on the river to make it look like I'm just trying to take the pot.
That worked, I guess, but I came away from the hand frustrated because I just didn't know how to bet it properly.
